(2)Devotion: A Dylena Story
Chapter 2
After finishing breakfast, I got dressed and grabbed my stuff. I made my way to the door, Dylan following me.
"Bye, beautiful." He said, kissing me quickly. "I love you." I said hugging him tight. His arms extended around me, holding me tightly.
" I love you too."He answered letting go, and opening the door. I smiled and blew a kiss to him before walking out.
He laughed and shut the door. I smiled and began walking home.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket. 10 new messages. All from my mom, asking where I was.
My phone had been on silent all night. I quickly texted back that I had been at Kate's house staying the night. More lies.
My parents didn't know about Dylan. Or that I even had a boyfriend. I wasn't even allowed to have one.
I reached my house and silently closed the front door, trying to avoid another disappointing speech.
I started walking up the stairs, when my mom came out the kitchen, not looking to happy.
"Where have you been?" She asked coldly. "I told you at Kate's." I lied.
"Next time tell someone where your going, and for how long. Got it?" She snapped.
"Yes." I answered and made my to my room. That was the second time I had lied to my parents about where I was.
They'd kill me if they knew I was with Dylan. Or lock me in my room with no food and water. Either would work for them.
I opened the door and sat on my bed. My cellphone started ringing. I grabbed it and answered it.
The voice on the other end, erased all my bad thoughts. I immediately smiled hearing Dylan's voice.
" Stay again tonight?" He asked. I checked out in the hallway to see if anyone was around, before answering.
" I don't know. My moms already on my case." I said quietly.I heard him sigh.
" It's cool then. I'll just watch football in my boxers alone tonight." He teased. "Send me a picture." I said giggling.
"You have to come and see for yourself." He laughed. "I'll see what I can do." I said smiling.
" Great. I'll see you tonight then. Around midnight?" He asked.
I hesitated before answering. "Sounds fine. See you tonight. I love you."
"I love you too." He answered warmly.
I smiled and hung up. My parents were surely not gonna let me go anywhere tonight. I had already left without telling anyone. Now I had to find away to get to Dylan's without my parents knowing? It seemed impossible.
I laid on my bed and kept thinking of how I could go to Dylan's. I said tonight was the night.
I'd just sneak out. My parents never checked up on me before they went to bed anyway.
I knew it was stupid, but I wanted to spend time with Dylan. I wanted to spend every second with him. I really did.
I was tired. Even though it was ten in the morning, I could use a few hours of rest. We had talked for hours last night. We had barely slept at all . I grabbed my phone, set it to go off at eleven thirty and laid down.
I sighed and closed my eyes , trying to go to sleep. Images of Dylan floated through my mind. It was obvious I was gonna dream about Dylan. Which I didn't mind.
He was my everything. He was perfect. His brown eyes. His smile. He was perfect. I never wanted to let him go. He was mine. And I couldn't believe it.
My body went at ease, at the thoughts of Dylan. I smiled and slowly fell asleep. One last though shot in my mind before I fully lost consciousness. Midnight couldn't come soon enough.
