To be honest I don't know where this came from; I guess I more sleep deprived than I thought.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything... Even if I did I couldn't get away with this!

"Ok" she smiled, swinging around in her chair to face him, "I'll take the bait. In this... storybook of yours, who would I be?"

"You, " he said reaching out to touch a strand of her hair; his fingers grazing the skin of her cheek as he did so; "would be Rapunzel."

She frowned, "Oliver, seriously Rapunzel? You think I'm a poor, helpless damsel in distress, locked in a tower waiting for some prince to rescue me?"

"You're missing the point."

"Really?" she crossed her arms, waiting for an explanation, "and what would "the point" be?"

"Rapunzel is this girl, who had this burden forced upon her. She didn't choose it, those who were meant to love her did. But she doesn't complain" he paused, watching her "she just, ...deals with it; content with her hardship."

"She still needed the prince though" Chloe added, turning away, gazing out across the Metropolis skyline "She would still be stuck in that tower if it wasn't for him."

"No" Oliver replied, shaking his head, "I think that's where everyone gets it wrong; I don't think she would be."

He walked to her, standing over her, gazing down, hazel meeting emerald.

"I think she would have figured it out. I mean, it was her who thought to weave the silk ladder, it was her idea, her plan, the prince was just...the sidekick

He was still watching her, delighting in the small smiled that flickered across her features at the reference.

"Even when it all fell apart, when they were discovered, he was the one who got his ass tossed out a window. And even then, she still came back. She was the one who saved him"

His hand was in her hair again, his fingers tracing the line of her cheek. Chloe could swear that if he got any closer her heart would implode.

His voice was soft; every word washed over her, sending shivers down her spine "He was alone and desolate, wandering in darkness; and she showed him the way out. She healed him. Gave him his sight back, so that he could see what was right in front of him"

His thumb ran across her lips, causing them to part slightly.

"Oliver..." the word evaporated in the air, and there was nothing else; just them. His lips against hers. Soft and adoring, driven with passion and long overdue.

"I think I could deal with being Rapunzel" she whispered against his skin.

Review...maybe?
