"No mommy I don't want Alice to dress me. I want to pick out my own clothes." Renesme said stubbornly to Bella. "Tell Alice not me, honey." Bella said not looking into Renesme's eyes knowing that if she did she wouldn't be able to say "no."
"Please, please 'Aunt Alice'. And if you don't like it then you can choose something different." Renesme pleads knowing Alice can't resist when she uses 'Aunt Alice'.
"Oh alright but if you dress like your mother, you will NEVER pick your clothes again. Do you hear me?"
"Thank you 'Aunt Alice.'"She says sweetly and picks out a white dress to wear (Alice approves). Renesme is taken back to the cottage to wait while Alice decorates the Cullen household, for her party. The house is decorated with flowers. Everyone is there Jasper, Alice, Emmett, Rosalie, Esme, Carlisle, Jacob, Charlie, and three of Renesme's friends from school Hope, Katie, and Bethany. They are all hiding when Renesme, Bella, and Edward walk in.
"Surprise" 11 voices say in unison.
"Cool" was all she said because she has asked Jacob and he told her when the party was being planned because 'he couldn't resist not telling her'.
"Jacob," Alice growled, realizing what had happened. "You ruined the surprise. I wanted to see her face. Oh well… … I guess we should open the presents now."
Jasper got her a book, Alice clothes, Emmett got her weights. At his present she wailed "Eeemmmmeeeeetttttt." While Emmett just stood and laughed. Rose got her a motor scooter; Esme painted her a picture of a large russet wolf (Jacob). Charlie gave her a camera. Hope, Katie, and Bethany gave her a $30 gift card for the mall in Seattle. Jacob gave her a charm bracelet with a wolf charm on it. Bella gave her the heart charm Edward gave her. Edward gave her the sheet music for her lullaby. Carlisle gave her a bag of blood, but that wasn't presented in front of the humans. Then they all ate cake and sang "Happy Birthday." Then slowly every one made their way home after a day of partying.
