Maybe he shouldn't have done it. Kissed her that is; not when he saw the light leaving her eyes. Nor when he knew that he was breaking her heart. But who could blaming him for being selfish. For wanting to taste such a jewel on his lips with her sweet cherry blossom scent.

He couldn't resist falling for those light viridian eyes that lit up brighter than any star could when she saw him. He should have kept his selfish desires to himself. Now she comes to him in the dead of night helpless against her addiction of him; and him being the selfish person that he was couldn't help but relish in it; enjoy every second of her despair as she succumbed to his needs over and over again. He needed her; or so he had convinced himself. He needed to see those innocent viridian eyes peer at him with the utmost devotion as he used her to fulfill his most wanton desires. He had felt no regret ripping her innocence from her as she gave it willingly to him, begging for more, and he was more than happy to oblige her.

After all it was the thrill of having two girls the one that he swore his complete devotion to and the other his naive best friend who was so hopelessly in love with him. What he hadn't realised was that she begun to wake up from her stupidity, her lust clouded mind, that had her pinnig after him like a thirsty dog. She had begun to cut her ties with him; severing every connection she possibly could. She was no longer that girl who would give herself so willingly to a man who didn't deserve her. No! She was her own person, she didn't need him in her life; not now not ever.

And he felt it; the loss of her body heat besides him at night. The abscence of her bubblegum-pink hair on his pillow. He began to crave her again. Wanting to taste that forbidden fruit again. He soon realised that he wasn't feeding her addiction anymore but his own, but she was long gone, and he was left wanting.

Itachi had done everything possible to avoid his girlfriend in the Sunagakure, who happened to be the Kazekage's sister. He had a thing for fiesty women pinning after him that he just couldn't let go. So he searched high and low for her, searching in every nook and cranny, but he just couldn't find his bubblegum-pink haired and emerald eyed best friend any where. Then he had heard the news: She left had left the village on a mission with one Nara Shikamaru. And just where had he heard this you might wonder? By none other than the Hokage herself as he demanded to know of Sakura's sudden absence from the village. She had said that her apprentice requested sometim away from the village so she could train and find herself. What had puzzled Tsunade was the fact that she chose to take Shikamaru with her and not Itachi and the fact that the lazy Nara had more than willing agreed to it as well.

The Uchiha had searched for traces of her presence on every Anbu mission he went. Sometimes he'd hear rumours about a pink-haired she devil passing through the towns or a pink-haired angel depending on the people's thoughts of her. The three years had passed by in a blur and soon news of her return was spread across Konoha like wild fire as they expressed their relief that their finnest medic.

Just when he was about to confess his love for her; he had noticed that she had matured and looked even more breathtakingly beautiful that ever before with her knee length pinl-hair and that wasn't the only thing he noticed.

He had lost...

The Nara's arm around her waist and the ring on her left hand spoke volumes. The great Uchiha Itachi had lost and he had only himself to blame.
