What happens when Shinigami die?
Do they truly turn to nothing? Nothing but dust and sand?
Or does their spirit move on?
Just like the human factor, no one is sure what happens when a god of death dies. To truely know the answer, you would have to go through it.
Renay was walking down the busy street one after noon. Her silver hair blowing back in the wind. She had just moved to Japan a few weeks ago for work. Not really knowing where she was going, or how to get there, Ranay stumbled along the busy streets, dogging cars and people.
She was so busy thinking about work, that she didnt notice the teenage boy infront of her...
SMACK!
Renay fell backwards dropping her bag and coffie.
"Ow.." She mumbled looking up.
"Sorry." The boy said, bending down to give her a hand. "You alright?"
Renay pulled back a lock of her hiar. There was a purple streek in it.
"Oh...thanks. Sorry, I just moved here. Dont really know my way around the city yet."
The boy gave her the bag.
"Thats understanable."
He smiled.
She smiled back.
"My name is Light by the way. Light Yagami."
"Im Renay Fuse."
Light smiled again. "Well Renay its nice to meet you. If you ever want to see the city, Ill be happy to give you a tour."
Renay chuckled, giving him her cell phone number and adress. "That would be wonderful Light."
"So Ill pick you up at six then?"
"Six would be wonderful."
And with that, Light waved good bye, walking past her.
Renay smiled as she watched him go.
Light. What a cute name. Maybe she would like it here after all.
...
Light groand sitting down at his desk.
"Ugg! What a long day! I didnt even have time to write names in the Death Note."
He pulled the note book out from under a pile of papers.
"That girl was nice though. Renay I think?"
He sighed turning around.
"What do you think Ryuk?"
The rouge Shinigami looked up. "Huh? What?"
Light frowned.
"Whats wrong Ryuk? You dont seem...normal."
Ryuk wasnt even looking at him.
"That girl," He mumbled. "Iv seen her before."
"Really?" Light asked. "Where?"
Ryuk scratched his head. "Hmmm. Not sure. Just know Iv seen her."
"Well," Said Light. "She could be usful to the Kira case. She seems like a much better option than Misa. I could really use her."
Ryuk's head snapped over at the human.
"Whats THAT supose to mean?" He hissed.
Light was a bit taken back.
"Geez, calm down Ryuk. Im only kidding."
"Yeah," Ryuk mumbled. "But she is not just a girl. I know her. Like I really know her."
Light gaped at his Shinigami. Ryuk never really made much sense. In his eye, Ryuk was just an apple loveing, go with the flow, care free reaper. But seeing him all nervous like this worried him.
"Ryuk," Light said slowly. "You know who she is, dont you?'
Slowly Ryuk turnd, his big yellow eyes stairing at Light's brown ones.
"Who is she?"
Ryuk breathed.
"I think that girl you met was Rem."
