Summary: [drabble] Paine has a nightmare.
Paine searched and searched. Leather clothes thrown here and there, the bed literally turned upside down. Yuna and Rikku watched all of this from the safetly of the doorway. Paine spun once, scanning the room again, before turning to look at her friends pathetically. "I can't find it."
"Oohhh, find what?" Rikku asked, bouncing. Paine scowled and shoved past them and made her way to the weapon room. Upon opening door, she discovered her fears to be true.
"Oh my." Yuna said.
"It's gone. All of it." Paine whispered, looking at the ground.
"Am I missing something?" Rikku asked, looking over at Yuna, then glancing back at Paine. She still remained in the middle of the room, now on her knees.
"All of them are gone. Every last sword or katana, missing." Yuna commented, thoughtfully.
"...Whoever took them is getting hurt." Paine growled.
"Can't do much damage without a weapon." Rikku said. Paine turned to look at her, a single tear dripping down her cheek.
"Hurt time over?"
Paine jerked up in bed, sweat pouring down her forehead. Panting, she shook the memory of the nightmare out of her head. It was silly, utterly ridiculous. Still, Paine figited from the thought. Glancing around the darkened room, her team mates snoring around her, Paine lowered herself onto her stomach. Sliding to the edge of the bed, she slipped her hand underneath it and pulled out a massive longsword with a skull design. With a sigh of relief, Paine stroked the blade gently, almost motherly. All before curling back under the covers, the weapon craddled against her chest.
