**Disclaimer: I've been mentally considering the new Batwoman…and one nagging point stuck out courtesy of Grant Morrison. One-shot, no continuity issues (I hope) and completely ignores the disturbingly white goth chick that will be populating the pages of "Detective Comics" for the next year. Oh, and Happy American all.**

Selina crossed her arms beneath her chin, "So…you're a pervert."

Bruce's eyebrow rose and he signaled for the waiter, "Another rum and coffee please."

Selina smirked and checked her watch, "One-thirty, ante-meridian, not keeping up 'appearances' at this hour are we?"

Bruce glanced about the edges of their table at the Peregrinator's Club, "Suppose you said that much louder?"

Selina smiled fully, "It's late Brucie, everyone's practically under the table anyhow…everyone but Gotham's favorite playboy that is. Anyhow, you did sleep with her…didn't you?"

Bruce shook his head, "No. I took her to the prom while I was at Andover. She was dating my roommate, Matt Atkins…but he threw her over for Peyton Riley…and you know how that turned out."

Selina nodded, "And…just how are you two related again? Not Petyon…Kate Kane. You're cousins aren't you?"

Bruce sighed and pushed his long neglected veal parmigiana about the plate with the back of his fork, "Fourth cousins."

"Close enough don't you think?"

Bruce sighed, "I hardly knew Katherine. Still don't."

Selina ignored him and took another sip of wine, "Still cousins."

"I rarely see my mother's family…not with any great regularity."

"Still cousins. Where did she go to school?"

"Sacred Heart. Germany."

Selina snorted despite herself, "Figures. Did you kiss her?"

Bruce looked up at her surprised before grim resignation spread over his features.

Selina sat up straight, "My God, you did didn't you? Blech."

Bruce's face reddened, "She kissed me."

"You didn't stop her."

"On the cheek."

"And you didn't go any farther?"

"No. We were playing tennis at her mother's house in the Catskills. She kissed me at the baseline…I let her and then, I protested. Nothing more."

"That's it?"

Bruce appeared wistful for a moment, "Yes."

Selina finished the story for him, "And, the following summer, you set sail for the Far East, and you weren't seen or heard from for six years…and that's when I found you."

"In a sense."

"And I'm sure you had your adventures in Asia as well?"

Bruce frowned and Selina took another sip, "You know Bruce, you blush like a choirboy."

Bruce felt a feeble smile tug at the corner of his mouth, "I was once. While I was boarding at Rumsey Hall."

"Ages ago."

The waiter returned with his rum and coffee and Bruce raised it gently, "Ages ago."

He set the mug down and Selina placed her hand atop his, "Want to get out of here?"

There was a glint in his eye, "Where to?"

"Meet you up top in five?"

Bruce gave a self-deprecating laugh, "So I'm forgiven?"

"Only if you're willing to forgive my own missteps."

Bruce remembered and forgot about the Bradleys, both senior and junior, as quickly as he could, "You need never ask."
