I know you have a hard time when it comes to me and her

I know you have a hard time when it comes to me and her

And I always forgive you for every time I hurt

And I love you for everything you are

I wouldn't change a thing

Because I loved you from the start

But it doesn't make it easier to see you walk away

And I don't feel better for feeling better

When I see you stay

I always understand when you tear me apart

But can't you see I love you?

That I've loved you from the start?

I can't ask you to choose

That wouldn't be my way

And I can't ask you to stay

That's your choice to make

So for now I'll silently watch as you leave

To be with the one who used to be me

The only one who could keep us apart

I will always stay by you

I've known that from the start
