There she is. One of my best friends, the girl that every guy in the school (and half the girls) wants, and the girl I'm compelety head over heels in love with.
"Hey Mitch, what's up?" she says while pulling me into a hug
"Hey Alex" I give her my signature smile
"What's up Mitch? I haven't talked to you all day "
"oh, just got off the phone with Shane. He called asking to go out to see a movie tonight." I put on a fake smile.
Shane is my boyfriend. I know how I sound, dating a guy while being in love with someone else. I love Shane but more in a brotherly way. I may have a small (and I mean very small) crush on him but I love Alex. I couldn't break his heart and I thought I could learn to love him since I was never going to have Alex as more than a friend.
Alex frowns, "I was going to invite you over tonight. We haven't spent anytime together lately."
"I can come over after the movie. We would still have the whole weekend together."
"Why can't you just cancel," she pouts, "You've been spending all your time with Shane lately."
"Sorry Lex but I can't. I promised him tonight, he said it was important."
She scoffs, "What's so important about a movie"
"I'm not sure. He said it was a surprise."
The bell for 4th block rings.
"Well, it better be a good one. I'll see you after your date. Bye Mitch"
"See you later Alex"
Shane picked me up at 5 to go to the movies. We talked the whole way and I was already having a good time. I always have a good time with him. He's my best friend and I love him.
"We're here!" Shane says
I could tell how happy he was. This surprise must be really good.
"Well come on baby. We're gonna be late!"
I glanced at the clock, 5:24. We are gonna be late. I hop out of the car and walk into the theater with Shane. The whole place is empty. He puts his arm around me, pulling me closer to him.
Shane looks at me and grins, "I pulled some strings and this place is ours till 9."
"Oh my god, Shane! This is the best thing anybody has ever done for me!" I jump into his arms. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is amazing!"
I love Alex but she can wait. We do have the whole weekend and how many time do you get a whole theater to yourself and your amazing boyfriend.
He smiles at me, "I would do anything for you Mitch. I love you and just want you to be happy."
I smiley widely, "I love you too Shane" like a brother
We watch a movie and then just run around the theater playing the games. We even played a game of tag. I had forgotten all about my weekend with Alex. At 8 a worker came and told us time was up. We walked out of the theater and I grabbed his hand.
"What is it Mitch"
I pull him into a kiss. It was a nice, but theres no spark. I wish there was but it's just not there. He licks my bottome lip and I open my mouth. We makeout until we have to pull away for air.
"I should do stuff for you more often if that's the reward," Shane smirks.
I hit him then take off .
"Your gonna get it Torres!" Shane says while laughing. He chases me but I'm to fast for him. I eventually run out of breath and he catches me and throws me over his shoulder. I start fighting him but in the end give up. He walks to the car and gently puts me in.
We end up stopping for food at Mickey D's and eating in the car. After we finished Shane threw away our food and came back to the car.
"Now, to Alex Russo's house! Da da da da!" He yells dramatically
I laugh and glance at the clock. 9:30! What! Oh boy..she's going to kill me.
"Oh, I am so dead."
Shane gives me the "What?" look and I point at the clock.
"Ha! You are dead!" he starts laughing
"Just shut up and drive Shane"
"Now shut up and drive, drive, drive. Shut up and drive, drive drive!" He sings
I hit him in the gut.
"Owww! No need to be abusive. Geez Mitch"
"Just go!"
"Fine.."
We finally get there at 9:45. Alex is definetly gonna kill me..
"Bye Shane"
I lean over and kiss him.
"Bye Mitch. Love you"
"Love you too"
Yeah, I know what you all are thinking. What a liar! It's not a lie. I do love him but just not the way he loves me. I think I do like him a bit but I still love Alex though.
I walk into the Substation and see Alex standing at the counter.
"Why were you late?"
"I'm sorry Alex. Shane pulled some strings and got the whole theater till 8. We lost track of time afterwards..."
"He got the WHOLE theater?"
"Yeah"
"Wow, that was a big surprise." She sighs. "Come on lets just go upstairs and start OUR weekend." She say emphasizing the our.
"Ok!" I smile.
