"Wait! I Have a Better Idea!"
A Heroes drabble
By Tenshi-Chan
This little ficlet stems from an excellent point made by Keara one night while we were working.
Angela was heartbroken as she gazed at the sheet-covered body of her oldest son. All her hopes and dreams resided in him, and now he was gone. While she cared for Peter, he had been a mistake that had proven useful. Nathan was her pride and joy. She turned as Noah Bennet and Matt Parkman entered
She straightened. "I will not accept this outcome. Do we have Sylar?"
Matt nodded. "Peter's bringing him in." He then looked confused.
"This is what we will do. Mr. Parkman will transfer Nathan's memories to Sylar and delete Sylar from existance." She looked back at her son. "Then I'll hide the body."
Matt looked at her like she was insane. "Let me get this straight. You want me to do something I have never done, and put your son's memories into the man who killed him? Then you expect things to go back to being just the same?" He shook his head. "It won't work!"
Angela glared at him. "I will not lose my son!"
Noah cleared his throat before Matt could say anything more. "Wait! I have a better idea." When he saw he had Angela's attention, he continued. "Claire is still in the building. I'm sure she'd be more than willing to donate some blood." He shrugged. "Her blood saved my life, why not Nathan's?"
Matt motioned to Noah. "That seems like a better idea then letting a homocidal maniac run around loose just because he thinks he's your son."
Angela opened her mouth, then shut it with a click. A part of her had wanted to put her plan into action. It was, after all, partly her fault Sylar was the way he was. Still ... if it were a choice between her son and Sylar, her son would win every time. "All right. As soon as Peter gets back, we'll have him do it."
Matt seemed to let out a relieved breath. "That only leaves one question." He looked serious. "What will we do with Sylar?"
His question was met with silence so sudden, Angela could have heard a pin drop.

AUTHOR'S NOTES: As I stated, This idea came from Keara pointing out that they had access to Claire. Why the heck didn't they use her blood to revive Nathan instead of making things 1000 times more complicated by turning Sylar into Nathan? It added unnecessary heartache and drama.
We (Keara and I) also thought it was overly callous of Angela to stick Nathan's body in a public storage facility. We didn't care that it was climate controlled. You just don't do that sort of thing. -Shakes finger at Angela- Bad mom! Bad!
This was just a drabble. I might come back to this fandom, and this storyline, at a future time. Actually I'm almost positive I will. For now, I have other works in progress that I really must finish. My fans have been ever so patient with me.
