Disclaimer: I own nothing!!!!! Sigh:(

Hermione raised a corner of a tissue to her wet eyes, cautious of her make-up.

She gazed at herself in the full length mirror. She looked as a bride should look on her Wedding day. Today, however, was not a joyful day.

More tears moistened her eyes.

Hermione reached down and raised the hem on her white gown. She peered down at her shackled ankle.

The Darkness had won. Thousands perished under Lord Voldemort's wand. Everyone that Hermione loved are now gone. The Weasleys were rounded up and slaughtered. Harry perished on the battlefield. Hogwarts teachers were murdered on sight. Hermione saw her wonderful world collapse around her.

Shaking her head at the memories, more of her tears threatened to fall. Glancing back at the mirror, she noticed a tall, black figure staring back at her.

"You will ruin your make-up with your unnecessary tears" the figure stated.

Hermione remained silent. She dabbed her eyes again.

The dark figure circled her. "You look wonderful"

Silence

He stopped as he reached the front of her. "The bride to be of the most hated man in our world. You could have escaped all this. But, no. You had to stay and fight. Fight for your dead friends. Have you nothing to say?"

Again, Hermione remained silent. A small teardrop etched down her cheek.

He placed his hands on either side of her face and raised her face to his. Sad brown eyes meet sad black eyes. Severus Snape lowered his voice. "What happened to that little know-it-all asking all those questions in my classroom?"

Hermione opened her mouth to speak. "She died on that day with Harry and the Weasleys."

Snape frowned. "Yes, she did" He released her face.
