Movie night was an unusual thing in the manor, and it was even more unusual if Damian participated, but it did happen occasionally.

Tonight only Dick and Damian were attending the never-weekly movie night. Dick had initially planned on merely watching a movie by himself, sprawling out on the couch in only pajama bottoms, but when Damian came out in full flannel pajamas and curled up on the couch against Dick's chest, how could he refuse a little company?

They spent most of the evening in silence, merely enthralled by the screen. Around halfway through the movie Damian began to drift in and out of consciousness, eyes fluttering open and closed repeatedly.

Idly, Dick raised a hand to play with Damian's unruly black locks. He ran his hand back and forth, back and forth, occasionally twisting his hand to gather more hair into his fingers. Damian nuzzled a little bit at the touch, emitting a low grumbling from his throat. Dick believed at first that he was merely snoring, having finally passed out, but that idea was nixed when Damian reached up and moved Dick's hand back into the thick of his hair.

Dick listened intently to the sound for a minute or so. The sound was similar to when Damian growled, but it wasn't vicious or harsh. It vaguely reminded Dick of...purring.

Wait-purring? his brain quickly processed, doing a quick double take. Damian was...purring. Like a cat. While his hair was being played with.

"Damian are you purring?" Dick whispered, his hand finally freezing up. Damian stiffened, wide awake, making no sounds at all.

"I have done nothing of the sort." Dick started to the laugh, struggling to speak though his giggles.

"You-you purr! Like a cat!" he exclaimed giddily.

"I do not!" Damian protested weakly, sitting up and giving his best impression of the Batglare.

"Oh my god, do you pleasure purr? Can you imagine your girlfriends in the future? You'll be in the bedroom and she'll be-"

"Shut up, Grayson." Dick continued to laugh, even as Damian marched out of the room.

At this point, a regular movie night seemed impossible.
