What would happen if Balians father never died from the fever? What would happen then? Would still he be the leader of Jerusalem? What would his father say when he finds out that he refused to marry Sybilla?

--

This will mostly be in Balians perspective; well it will always be his perspective when he is in the scene.

Btw. I can't find a name anywhere for Balians Half Brother all it says in every place I look is "Priest"

(3rd Person)

France 1184

Winter had finally approached the small remote village in France, which had put a gloomy shield around its walls. Two gravediggers and a priest sat the crossroad; one of the gravediggers took the job of digging the grave for a young woman.

The priest sat on the rock, eyeing his bastard of a brother's diseased wife, as the cloth covering her face blows off.

The bald gravedigger taking a rest, looks at the woman in confusion, "She's denied a cross for suicide, and buried at the center of crossroads, show me the logic?" he turns to look at the priest, "Father?"

"What?" the priest looks up at the man, clearly annoyed

"The devil is a practical man, if she were a which, she's a poor eternal on his investment," the man chuckles.

"How do you know of logic?"

The gravedigger smirks, "I have ears father, though my right ears notched cause I love justice"

With a stern voice the priest tells him, "You love thieving", then sighs, "shut up you dig"

The gravedigger glares at his priest, then pats his mate on the back taking the shovel.

The priest gets up from his knees as he hears the sound of horses.

"Crusaders"

A knight soon rides up to the priest ordering him to clear the road.

As soon as the 3 men clear the road they look up to then knights, who looked like they had just come back from battle.

As soon as the crusaders had past the gravediggers began to place the woman in her grave but was stopped by their priest.

"Wait, have you forgotten?"

The two gravediggers looked at each other, "She was your brothers wife"

"She was a suicide, cut off her head", he ordered, and started to run after the crusaders.

The gravediggers sighed and swung the axe.

"You know this place my Lord?" Asked the Monk.

The lord sighed, "Know it? I know all of it" as he road of ahead looking at the villages.

"Your brother? Have you spoken to him?" ask the bishop, the priest.

The priest sighed in anger; why did someone always have to bring up his old bastard brother, "Oh, not yet my Lord he is still arrested"

The bishop looked at the young priest, "Your brother is as responsible as his wife sin, as I am"

"Opinions differ, my Lord " He chuckled.

"You did not mutilate the person?" The bishop looked up to him with worried eyes.

"No" he lied.

"The law can go too far, it can go to far I ask myself, would Jesus do it thusly? He stopped the younger man to a halt with his arm and said, "You must release your brother, I can not do with out, and give him this," he handed the priest a few coins, " and tell him, that he is at the very center of my prayers"
