Naru watched as Sasuke fell, exhausted and unconscious, blood dripping from numerous wounds he had received at the hands of his only living kin.

Itachi.

His brother. The man he had sworn to kill.

After years of training for this moment, after all he had sacrificed to gain power, Itachi had finally been killed.

Sasuke had his revenge.

She wondered if it was worth it.

To Naru it was pointless. It wouldn't bring back his clan. His family. It wouldn't make the pain go away.

But then, she had never had a family to lose, so perhaps, if she had, she might have reacted the same way.

She had just managed to catch up after being held up in a fight with Pein. She was sore and broken and bleeding in several places but she was healing quickly, thanks to the Kyuubi. She had just been able to defeat Pein, again with a little help from the fox, and had finally caught up to Sasuke. Only to find the battle was already finished.

Part of her couldn't help but feel glad that it was finally over. Now maybe Sasuke would finally be at peace. Though the chances of that happening were slim. For Itachi had managed to take another of his family from him. His wife.

Hinata.

He had married her two years ago, wanting to rebuild his clan before he went off to slay his brother. In the very likely chance that he would die while doing so.

Everything had been going well for the newlyweds. Less than a year after their marriage Hinata had given Sasuke a beautiful baby girl. They named her Hikari.

She is a year and half old now. Black hair and the pearl eyes of her mother. She is currently safe and happy at home in Konaha with her grandfather Hiashi. Unaware that her mother will never return to her.

Sasuke was fighting hard, fending off blows from both Kisame and Itachi. Just as he was distracted dealing a killing blow to Kisame, Itachi took advantage of the opportunity to slip away from his partner and his otouto and head straight for Hinata.

He hadn't wanted her to come. But she had insisted, saying that the Uchiha clan was hers now as well, and she would stay by his side and fight with him.

And fight she did. She had managed to block some of his chakra flow, slowing him down. Just a little but it was enough for Sasuke. Itachi had put his sword through her stomach before Sasuke could get to her. And he, in turn, put his chidori though the heart of his once beloved brother.

Itachi. How he hated him. He thought of his wife. She had died because of him. He powered up another chidori with the last of his strength and shoved in Itachis' stomach. He wanted to kill him again and again. It would never be enough.

He stumbled over to the body of his now deceased wife. Her eyes were blank. Unseeing. Grief welled up inside him. His last though as he fell unconscious was how could he possibly tell his daughter her mother wasn't coming home.

A/N: Well how was it? This is just the prologue, it will get better. Also, I suck at fight scenes so just assume it was a grand fight and they (Naru and Sasuke) won. ok?

I'm not sure about the pairings quite yet so i'll put a poll up in my profile and see what you guys think or you can let me know in a review.

Anyway I hope you like it.

By the way, I changed Narutos name from Kyoko to Naru, so it won't confuse people. Sorry bout that.
