Anger flared and fists up in the air
It's never been my fault that you chose foolishly
It's like a game that never ends with you
He has me right beside Him, but you can't stand what you lost
Whispering when the opportunity allows
Applauding when a trap catches the intended victim
Unfortunately you know my weakness, but you know nothing of my heart
Bang on the walls all you want, but He won't let you in
Don't you know that you're dead to Him
Times up for you so ride out your days in pseudo-fame
And in the end when the Earth catches a flame
The fire will consume you too
You'll not have the ending you always dreamed
Everything you are will shatter into a million pieces
How fitting for the liar of the century
But know this
As you breathe your last on that day
I'll be taking my first breath of eternal life
And all things of this world shall pass away...including you
I wrote this after God gave me strength again to overcome a particular sin that keeps coming back again and again. I started thinking about sin and the role Satan plays in our lives as the liar and destroyer of our souls. I guess this is what came out of it. God Bless! :)
