It's been over a year since I uploaded. Oops. Blame university, and two failed subjects.

Anyway... I don't own.

He couldn't look Other in the eyes. Not after everything that had happened.

He had enough trouble looking Heart or Brightness in the eyes. After all he had done, He didn't know if he could face them some days.

Other was different to Heart or Brightness, too much like Him in form and too different in manner.

Other saw clearest what He had done, and what should've happened had Brightness not pleaded His case. Other knew, as He did, what would've and could've happened if not for Brightness's bond with That Woman.

When He came home, He had removed every mirror and mirror-bright surface from His home to stave off the inevitable.

But Other had been there when he saw Heart and Brightness again, and all His efforts had been for naught.

For when He looked at Other, He saw Himself and all the faults and demons He tried to hide.

Looking Other in the eyes was like looking into a broken mirror, viewing a distorted but recognisable image in fractured glass.

Every piece of self-loathing and bitterness that He felt was visible in Other's eyes, everything He didn't want to admit He was feeling.

Maybe, sometimes, a broken mirror shows the best image.

Spectrophobia: a fear of mirrors or of your own reflection

I think Heart, Brightness and That Woman are obvious, if you can get who He and Other are.
