*My parents were in my home for two weeks* Sublimino thought. He stood near his bedroom before he glanced at the living room. He viewed his parents sitting on the sofa and watching television. *My relatives are boring. They watch boring movies. They never do anything fun at all.*
Sublimino entered his bedroom before he viewed his father's suitcase on a small bed. One eyebrow went up. *Dad's suitcase is always closed*
he thought. Sublimino walked to the suitcase and opened it. He saw multiple pocket watches in rows. He gasped.
*So many pocket watches. They are all beautiful. I must have a pocket watch. Dad will never notice if a watch is gone. He is too interested in television now. I'll take one watch.*
Sublimino took a watch out of the suitcase. After shutting the suitcase, he admired the watch. Grinning, he placed it in his vest.
*I can hypnotize people into commiting crimes for fun now* he thought.
Sublimino stepped out of the bedroom. His eyes were on his parents while they continued to watch television. Sublimino's grin remained as he walked behind the living room sofa. He approached the door.
''Where are you going?'' Sublimino's father asked.
After gasping, Sublimino turned his head. He saw a frown on his father's face. *Dad knows about the pocket watch* he thought. Sublimino blinked behind his round shades. ''I'm just going to wander the streets. I don't know when I'll return,'' he said to his father.
''Oh,'' Sublimino's father said. He focused on the television screen again.
*Dad doesn't know about the watch. That's good* Sublimino thought. He opened the door and went outside. Sublimino closed the door and walked down the street.
There weren't any people by houses. Frowning, Sublimino walked before he stepped on his coat. He gasped again as he flailed. He fell. Sublimino winced after his body contacted the sidewalk. After standing, he reached into his vest.
Sublimino's eyes became wide the minute he saw the shattered watch. *Dad is going to ground me for the rest of my life!* he thought. That was when he grinned again. *I shouldn't worry about my father. He is still too busy to notice watches.* After dropping the watch, he went home.
Sublimino opened the door and entered the living room. After shutting the door, he noticed the empty area on the sofa where his father usually sat. He began to tremble. *Dad opened the suitcase and saw a space where the pocket watch was* he thought.
Sublimino entered his bedroom another time. His jaw dropped the minute he viewed his father standing near the open suitcase. His father's scowl caused him to tremble again. *Dad will yell for hours now.*
Sublimino's father smiled. He watched as Sublimino tilted his head in confusion. ''I'm aware that my watch is gone. Follow me,'' he said.
Still confused, Sublimino followed his father to a closet. He viewed his father opening the door. He gasped after he saw many pocket watches in cases. *I guess there wasn't enough room in Dad's suitcase for other watches.* Sublimino saw his father. ''How come you're revealing so many watches?''
A cruel grin appeared on the father's face. ''You like watches. You are going to polish every watch. That includes the watches in the suitcase.
I'll be here to see every watch being polished.'' He heard Sublimino as he groaned. *Forget television. My son polishing every watch entertains me.*
