Divergent- The Factions
In a future where everyone is divided,
Into groups; the selfless and the smart-minded,
The brave, the kind and the honest as well,
A future Chicago where they all must dwell.
First is Amity, the kind-hearted,
Where their rudeness must be parted.
They spend their days wearing yellow and red,
And never have the violence, which they all dread.
In order to get into this kind faction,
You must be mindful of your actions.
You must complete this trait perfectly,
To be kind and peaceful for eternity.
Next is Candor, the open and the honest,
Where they don't care about being modest.
They believe everyone should be truthful,
Which sometimes can be very useful.
To mingle this honest crew,
You have to be confident and truthful too.
You are injected with a serum of truth,
And asked many personal questions about your youth.
Then there is Abnegation, the selfless kind,
Where they have nothing, but others on their mind.
They never self indulge, always looking after others,
And they all treat each other like brothers.
To spend your life in this generous place,
30 days, you must spend, helping others with grace.
This faction is very easy to be in,
But very hard for your life to begin.
Erudite, the smart of the lot,
Where information will never be forgot.
To get a higher job here,
Your IQ must be very dear.
To pass the initiation test,
You have to strive to be your best.
To be smart, clever and very intelligent,
You will have to train from an infant.
The dare devils, Dauntless is the name,
Where they believe cowardice is to blame.
Their daily life consists of many fights,
Which could make you someday see the light.
Initiation to this faction is a sick thrill,
Consisting of a daily kill.
First is the painful physical test,
Where your body is pushed to the best.
Next is are the simulations of your mind,
Where everyone can see whom you are behind.
The fear landscape, the last of them all,
Where some fears could make you fall.
Divergent. The dangerous of them all,
If found, they could be dead by nightfall.
They don't fit in to any faction,
And so the government kills them with assassins.
What ever you chose of the five,
You have to try your best to stay alive.
