NOTES: This was a long time coming. I was unhappy with the version I posted up because I felt it lacked structure so I've started it back over again with better planning.

Tomo figured out what was going on Yomi was trying to confess to her! However, she was too embarrassed to do so. The moment wasn't an awkward silence. It was also very tense. A petal from the tree fell on Tomo's nose, and she giggled. She brushed it aside, and smiled. Yomi giggled. It felt like when they were in grade school. The same thing happened, and Tomo frowned. She didn't know what to do. She instead, now smiled. She looked dead at Yomi, and she was going to make her declaration.

"Koyomi...I'm confessing that I love you!" Tomo declared.

"What...wait...I mean..." Yomi stammered.

"Damn It! I don't want to be without you...why the hell you think I had 'forever' inscribed in your locket?!"

"I...just don't know what to say..."

"I want you to be mine...forever," Tomo then said plainly.

Tomo put Yomi on the spot. She laid it out on the line. Yomi really didn't know exactly how answer. She didn't wasn't being pushy. She then took out the gold ring...she placed the back-up ring on Yomi's finger. It fit on her left ring finger. Yomi was unsure on what she wanted to do. Tomo looked in here eyes lovingly. She wanted Yomi to say yes. At this point...Yomi knew her intentions. Tomo just made things just a bit difficult. She now has a choice...a very big choice...

"I accept," Yomi said happily hugging Tomo.

"This is exactly what I wanted to happen," Tomo said sweetly.

"I am afraid about what's going to happen," Yomi said bluntly

"Are you afraid you're going to sit in sweats watching soaps?" Tomo teased.

"That's not what I'm afraid of," Yomi said. "I'm more afraid you'll have to read a book on how to unhook a bra."

"Hey! That's not fair!" Tomo whined, while Yomi smiled.

"You know I'm only kidding," Yomi smiled.

"I will admit...it would be bad if anybody had to read a book on how to unhook a bra."

Yomi smiled. She couldn't get the image of Tomo having troubles trying to do so. Then again, this was stepping up their relationship. They both decided to talk and walk through the park. It was a cool night. However, it wasn't the normal relationship. It was something they was more powerful. Yomi had decided she was going to go through with this and see where it goes. Tomo was more worked up than usual. She's very excited with what will happen between them. Then again, Tomo is rather excitable on the smallest things. It got quiet when they were on their way home. They did have school the next day...and Tomo really didn't want to have to run laps...again. Sensing things were getting to quiet, Tomo decided to break the silence.

"What are we going to do this weekend?" Tomo asked.

"I've not thought about that," Yomi admitted.

"Well...I've not thought about what to do over this weekend either to be honest."

"We can actually go out on dates," Yomi said evenly.

"Hey...you got that excitement for Magical Land hidden don't you?" Tomo asked.

"I would be lying if I said I wouldn't be excited for a date," Yomi blushed.

"Let's stick to the simple," Tomo said. "I mean we can go to the movies, and dinner."

"That's not a bad idea," Yomi said. "We should get an early start this Saturday."

"The earlier, the better," Tomo suggested.

"I can be by your place before 4:30 in the afternoon on Saturday."

"Then we have a date."

They actually were happy with what was going to happen. However, they had zero idea on how things were going to go. The next day...it was still a boring day. The only high point was lunch time. Tomo wasn't going to be suffering what happened earlier in being late to class. She didn't want to be running laps, or get detention. She knew full well her plans would be derailed should either happen. Chiyo and the others were there and sat with Tomo on the rooftop benches. They left the doors open to help the air flow. They were met by Kaorin who was more than happy to get away from Kimura. Yomi was waiting for the group. Sakaki, Chiyo, and Kagura decided to eat in class. Tomo and Osaka greeted everybody.

"Hey, we're here!" Tomo greeted.

"We're here!" Osaka returned.

"You got up here quickly," Yomi said noticing it was a few minutes.

"It helps to actually make the orders at the co-op before school happens," Tomo said, handing off a fried noodle sub to Yomi.

"Thanks," Yomi said, "where are the others?"

"Oh, Chiyo, Sakaki, and Kagura brought in their own lunches," Tomo answered.

"That's right..." Osaka said trailing off.

"Hey it's actually comfortable up here!" Kaorin said happily.

"If they'd allow the doors to be open we could be more awake," Tomo said off-handed.

"Considering whom my new home room teacher is..." Kaorin said uneasily.

"I'm still surprised he's still working here," Tomo spoke up.

"We should hurry and eat," Tomo then warned.

"Right, I don't want to earn Nyamo's wrath again," Osaka said, remembering prior that she, Chiyo, and Tomo were made to run the track for the entire PE class.

They did finish eating their lunch and had returned back to the class room. They were a few minutes early (minus Kaorin) and everybody was reforming the desk back into rows. It was a very boring health lesson given by Nyamo, and the class did try to keep awake. The bright part of the day was when the yawns happened, and Nyamo found herself doing so. This was something that got a chuckle out of the class, but nothing more happened. The end of the day came. After the clean up duty, Chiyo and the others finally were together. However, Chiyo took the charge to speak up.

"What are you going to do for the weekend?" Chiyo asked.

"We're going to go to the movies, and then to dinner," Yomi said.

"Possibly in that order," Tomo reasoned.

"We have to actually figure out what we want to see," Yomi admitted.

"Just as long as it isn't one of those boring romance deals right?" Kagura asked.

"Nah," Yomi said. "We tried that a while ago..."

"We just didn't like it," Tomo replied.

"I got it! Check the listings online!" Osaka suggested.

"That's not a bad idea," Yomi said.

The group went on their way. Tomo hated that she and Yomi had to part. It was for the best since it would be a bit of an adventure straight of itself. Once Tomo was at home...she found that the house was empty. Her brother and parents were out. She took he shoes off and ran to her bedroom. She got out of her Uniform quite quickly. She lay in her bed wondering what exactly her future was going to be with Yomi. She sighed and got her homework out. She knew she had to do this, because she didn't want to risk anybody's wrath. She was going on a good clip when she was interrupted by a phone call from her mother who was on he way home.

"Oh! You startled me!" Tomo answered the phone surprised.

"Sorry, were you doing your homework?" Mrs. Takino asked.

"I was," Tomo said, "though it was strange to seeing the house empty now."

"Yeah your brother got himself in trouble..." she said.

"I hope it's not legal..." Tomo started.

"Nah, he sprained his ankle messing about," she said in a huff. "We'll be home as soon as we can."

"Okay, I'll be waiting up," Tomo said relieved.

She ended the call and got back to work. She still was figuring out how things were turning out. She still is thinking about her future with Yomi. She wanted to be with her for life, but also realizes that things can and will happen. She then concentrated on what her date would be like for the weekend. She groaned. She really didn't want to think about anything bad that could happen. Her gut feeling was telling her that she needs to prepare herself for such events. Once she finished her homework she went downstairs to grab a snack from the fridge. It was at that moment her parents and her brother came home. They were not exactly happy with how he hurt his ankle, though they were thankful he's not more injured.

"What exactly happened?" Tomo asked as her brother sat down and placed his crutches aside.

"I messed around on the basketball court...and got mine," he said. "That's all there is too it."

"You're not going to do that again are you?" Both of the parents pressed.

"It's not going to happen again," he sighed.

"Good," Mr. Takino said, "Tomo we're going to order in dinner since it's so late."

"Oh okay," Tomo said, "I was going to get something to hold me over until then."

"It's perfectly okay," her mother said.

Tomo went to get her snack and went to her bedroom. She couldn't help but to shake her head at her brother's misfortune. She got a text from Yomi saying she's on for this Saturday after all. She wanted to make sure that her schedule was cleared of any chores. Tomo sent back at text saying she'll have to check with her parents. Tomo rushed down, and prayed she didn't have to do anything on Saturday afternoon. After all, this was her time...and she didn't want to disappoint Yomi at all. Her father solved the equation and spoke up honestly.

"You have plans this weekend?" Mr. Takino asked bluntly.

"That's up to you,"Tomo stated. "I was planning on going out with..."

"Well if it's with Yomi, then you should go," Her mother interrupted.

"What she said!" Her father said smiling. "Get washed up, dinner will be here in a few minutes."

Tomo rushed to get herself cleaned up. Her brother was very much feeling like he was 5 years old. She was back down, and the dinner was there. They did eat and finally were able to have a discussion on what happened in the day. Tomo still was wondering what was going to happen. She was apprehensive, but also still rather...excited at the same time. After what seemed like an eternity, that Saturday came by. Tomo had decided he movie, and decided where to go for dinner. She wasn't going to be dressy. She also gave Yomi that heads up. Yomi came before the appointed time and she spoke up happily.

"Hello!" Yomi greeted.

"Hey there!" Tomo returned. "I'm just glad this worked out for this weekend."

"You're not lying there."

"I got the plans, if we want to not get shut out of the movie...we're going to have to leave now," Tomo warned. "Don't worry, I saved up and got my money on me."

"That's a good idea," Yomi smiled. "Though it would suck if we were in a full theater."

"Right, let's get going!"

Yomi waited for Tomo to make sure she had everything on her person. They then left for the theater. It was a short train ride, but it was close to downtown. They got to the theater quite early, and Tomo found the movie. They were given their tickets and moved on. However, once they had their snacks paid for...and handed over the tickets...there was a major problem. The usher rubbed the back of his head and he explained that the film that they were trying to see was destroyed. They couldn't show it for the day.

"We can't blame this on the ticket clerk, he didn't know," Tomo said.

"I wonder what we can do." Yomi said,

"I'll page for the manager," The usher returned.

He paged for the manager and explained the situation. They were allowed to go to a different movie. This one was an old movie that was about to start. This wasn't a romance film. This was an actual action film that had a ton of fights and explosions. They were heavily into the film. After they left and they both enjoyed it. The manager stopped them both and apologized and offered up a refund for the missed movie. Tomo took the manager up on his offer, he was very genuine, and unlike most of the customers, they understood. After, Tomo and Yomi made their way to a restaurant. The problem they needed to figure out what they wanted to eat, where, and how much it would cost.

"This might seem a bit...childish," Tomo said, "why don't we go to the burger place?"

"That probably isn't going to be a good idea..." Yomi said.

"Don't worry, they have a secluded booth," Tomo offered.

"How about instead we go to the pizza place," Yomi counter offered.

"That actually sounds like a good idea!" Tomo said. "Just as long as you hold the anchovies..."

"You have eaten Worcestershire Sauce have you?" Yomi asked.

"My mom uses it," Tomo returned.

"There are anchovies in there."

Tomo smiled. She learned something new, but there was the task at hand. They did settle on a tea shop and grabbed a table. It wasn't busy, but it wasn't dead at all. The waitress she came by. She was very friendly, and she handed them the menu to order their food. From this point nobody knew what would happen next. A spoiled brat decided to stick his foot out to trip up the waitress. That is what caused the chain reaction. She saw and she tried to step around. She didn't know that he still was able to trip him up. Those caused the poor waitress to trip and spill the food. She wished it was on the floor. It flew (in slow motion) towards Yomi. Tomo saw and she got her out of the way quickly. All of the food, splattered where they were sitting...and the tea was spilled.

"Are you okay?" Yomi asked, as she went to the Waitress.

"I'm okay," the waitress spoke up. "I got tripped up."

"Let's get you cleaned up," Tomo said.

"What's going on here?" The manger demanded to know.

"That little brat over there tripped up this waitress!" an angry customer answered. He's the one who had the tea spilled on him.

"Ma'am..." the manager started, "you and your son will have to leave."

The mother muttered some curses, but took the kid away from the tea shop. The manager saw what happened and gave the three a gift certificate for a free meal. She didn't want them to be angry. They accepted. Tomo went to the man who now was a mess. He waved her off. He was embarrassed, but he was okay. After all of that, the new order of food was given by a different waitress. They decided to still pay up since it was the right thing to do after all. After, they left, and Tomo she started to giggle. Yomi was lost and wanted to know what was happening.

"You know, I didn't think that would happen," Tomo answered honesty.

"Well...this was a very rough date that's for sure," She returned.

"It's not the end of the world," Tomo then returned.

"You do have to admit it wasn't boring," Yomi relented.

"I do hope that poor guy was able to get cleaned up."

"He'll be okay; the only thing that's hurt was his pride."

They both decided it was time to get home. It was a long and exhausting. They went to the train station in relative quiet. Tomo had to get home before it got too late. She gave Yomi a very soft smile, and got her ticket to the trains. Yomi likewise decided to hurry home. Tomo smiled when she sat at her seat. This train was empty for the most part. She sat in the women's only car and looked out of the window. She smiled happily. Despite the fact that the date was almost derailed by what happened...Tomo enjoyed herself. On the way home, she came in quietly and went directly to her room, and plopped down on the bed. She just was happy to be home. She sent a text to Yomi telling her she made it home safely. Yomi returned the text saying the same. This was going to be a start of a very unusual adventure.
