''Thanks for bringing me to the mall,'' Gwen said to her mother. She smiled at different shops before she looked around the area.
She saw a sudden smile on Natalie's face.
''No problem,'' Natalie said.
*This is going to be a good day. I am shopping with my mother. I'll probably find something I like here. I'm not with dweeby relatives such as Ben* Gwen thought. She gasped when she saw a kitten in a pet shop window. Grinning, she ran to the window.
''What a cute kitten,'' Gwen muttered. She focused on the kitten as it rolled on its back. Her grin became bigger. A mental image of a man wearing a tank top with trousers and boots formed in her mind.
Gwen began to gasp another time. The mental image vanished. *Dr. Animo is probably mutating a kitten right now. He will probably use the mutated kitten to get even with Ben for defeating him a week ago* she thought. Gwen frowned. *Maybe Ben's other enemies are in this mall now.
Sublimino hypnotized people in malls before Ben defeated him.*
Gwen turned her head and saw Natalie. ''We can go to another window,'' she said. She walked near Natalie and found herself near a clothing store. Gwen saw a sweater with a cat face on it in the store window. Another grin appeared. ''What a cute sweater,'' she said.
''You can have the sweater, Gwen,'' Natalie said.
''Thanks,'' Gwen said. After following Natalie into the store, she watched as the latter purchased the sweater. She carried the bag.
''What are we going to do now?'' she asked after she stepped out of the store.
''Are you hungry?'' Natalie wanted to know. She viewed Gwen nodding. ''Let's go to the food court,'' Natalie said.
''Sure,'' Gwen said before she followed Natalie to the food court. There were very few people in the area. ''Let's share a cup of fries.''
Her eyes were on Natalie as the latter nodded. Gwen sat at a table after Natalie purchased the snack. She began to grin at the cup of fries.
She placed the bag on the floor. *I am very hungry* Gwen thought with her elbows on the table.
''Elbows off the table, Gwen,'' Natalie said with a gentle smile on her face.
Gwen was sheepish as she lifted her elbows. ''Sorry,'' she muttered. She took a fry and ate it at a snail's pace. *Do other mothers tell their kids to get their elbows off the table?* she thought.
''Elbows off the table!'' a woman snapped.
Gwen looked back. She viewed a woman sitting across from a man. She recognized the man's round shades, trousers, vest, long coat, etc.
Gwen's eyes became wide while she gasped. *Sublimino is eating here?* Gwen began to glance at the woman. *That woman resembles Sublimino.
She must be his...*
''Elbows off the table!'' the woman repeated as she scowled at Sublimino.
Frowning, Sublimino obeyed. He took a fry out of a cup and devoured it. ''Mothers!'' he muttered under his breath.
*I guess villains' mothers irritate them like most parents* Gwen thought. She turned to Natalie. Her smile stretched from ear to ear.
*At least my mother never raised a villainous hypnotist such as Sublimino.*
