About a week ago, a Half-Saiyan named Trunks, a member of the Time Patrol, announced that he would recruit four new members, that would be working with each other, by the end of the week.
This excited Nione, a female Half-Saiyan with dark red hair that she put in a ponytail. She is five foot three inches tall and wears a black tank top, with completely white battle armor over it, similar to Vegeta when he fought Cell. She wore white Gi pants, white shoes, similar to Goku's, and white gloves. Her pink eyes gleamed with excitement, and her tail wagged with joy.
It also caught the attention of Brisk, of the cold race. He is five feet tall, and he looked very similar to Frieza in his final form, except he was shorter, was bright blue instead of white, and had dark red markings instead of purple. He also had spikes coming out of his elbows. He wears a dark blue lower Gi, similar to Goku's. His pupils were black. He smiled, trying not to show excitement, but failing.
Lily, a normal human, had long brown hair, slightly below her shoulders, and brown eyes. She is five foot six inches tall, and she wears a Gi similar to Goku's, except it was dark blue instead of orange, and dark pink instead of blue. She also had a sword on her back, which she didn't need, but wanted nonetheless. When she heard about the recruitment, she smirked slightly.
Finally, there was Axl, a Namekian. He was green, but a much darker green than a normal Namekian. He is seven feet tall. He wears a sleeveless Gi shirt, that's dark grey, and Gi pants that were the same color, he wears boots, similar to Goku when he trained with Whis, except they were completely black. He smirked as well when he heard the news.
"This sounds...interesting." He mutters to himself.
Now, at the end of the week, Trunks will be announcing the four recruits on the tv at nearly ten thirty.
Nione yawned, she sat up in her bed and stretched, she suddenly smiled when she realized it was time to see if she was recruited, she jumped out of bed, and quickly changed from her pink pajamas into her fighting uniform. She had dreamed to be a Time Patroller for years, and now she has the chance for her dream to come true. She sprints to the living room, on her way, she slips on the floor, landing square on her head.
"Ouch!" She says, holding her head. She shakes it off, gets up, and dives onto the couch.
"Has he said anything?" She asks, to someone in the other room.
"Nothing yet, but keep watching." That very someone replied, in the Kitchen making breakfast, that someone was her father, Brett, a human that doesn't have any fighting experience whatsoever, his wife however, was an amazing battler, and is the reason why Nione is so good at fighting. Sadly, she died nearly three years ago, something neither of them like to talk about.
Nione stares at the tv, hoping to god that Trunks announces her. After the Super Strangers tv show ended, Trunks showed up on the screen, causing Nione to squeal in excitement, Brett walks into the room after he finished cooking.
"Hello everyone!" Trunks says with a lot of enthusiasm, "It's finally time! I know a lot of you have been excited for this…"
"A little too much." Brett says, looking at his daughter, she throws a pillow at him.
"...we were shocked to find out that over three thousand of you recruited to be a Time Patroller…"
"Holy crap!" Brett says in shock, Nione's eyes widen.
"That's so many! I may not even get picked." Nione says, slight sadness in her tone.
"You may not, but don't let that bring you down, all you can do here is hope." Her father says, making her feel a little better. They turn their attention back to the tv.
"...it was really hard to choose only four of you out of so many, but I've finally narrowed it down. If you don't get picked don't think it was because we didn't think you were ready, or that we didn't want you, there were so many candidates that it became kinda overwhelming." He grabs a small sheet of paper, "These are the four people that will be recruited as Time Patroller."
Nione holds her breath.
"Brisk, a Cold race."
Brett stares at the tv.
"Axl, a Namekian."
Nione gasps for air, she had held her breath for too long.
"Lily, a human."
Nione closes her eyes.
"And Nione, a Saiyan."
Nione gasps, and her eyes widen, Brett cheers, and stands up.
"Congrats Nione! You made it!" He says, with a smile on his face.
She gets up as well, and hugs her father.
"Yay! I actually made it!" She screams with joy.
Trunks continues, "Will you four please meet the Supreme Kai of Time at the entrance to the Time Nest? Thank you, and congratulations!"
"Let's eat quick! I have to go!" She says, sprinting for her food.
Brett laughs at her demeanor.
Brisk, who was at a restaurant and had just finished his meal, smirked at the tv when he heard his name.
"Well look at that. Looks like I was picked." He says.
He pays for his food and walks out of the restaurant, he turns his attention toward the shopping district of Conton city, where the medicine shop was.
"I might as well prepare before I go." Brisk says before he walks to the medicine shop.
Axl was meditating in the Namek area, he had heard the tv all the way at the Shopping District because of his good hearing.
"I was actually picked, how about that." Axl says, he stops meditating, and walks towards the Time Nest.
Lasers shot all around the room, blurred images of a character were moving around at high speeds dodging them, showing no signs of fatigue. The lasers seemed to be coming from the walls, they started to speed up, shooting even faster than normal, the character sped up as well, the blurred image not even there. Suddenly, the lasers stopped, the character skidded to a halt. The character was Lily, she was training in the gravity chamber, she wasn't wearing her normal Gi, she was wearing a gray tank top with white sweatpants, her "work out clothes" as she likes to call them, but she was taking a small break to turn on the tv to see the results, she was shocked to see that she was actually picked, but she didn't show it.
"Guess I'm done here, I need to take a quick shower before I go." She says, turning off the gravity chamber. She realizes there was a loud banging on the door.
"C'mon! What's taking so long?!" Somebody shouts.
Lily sighs, "How long have I been in here?"
She looks at at clock, it was ten thirty.
"I've been in here for three hours?" She asks, to no one in particular, No wonder that guy is so pissed, he's probably been waiting for awhile.
"God, hurry up!" The guy says, banging on the door some more.
He goes to bang on the door again, but it swings open, causing him to nearly strike Lily directly in her face. His eyes widen in horror at what he just did, but then he realizes that she blocked it with ease. She knocks his hand away from her face.
"Next time, just wait patiently, banging on the door doesn't make it any faster, and you could've really hurt someone if that wasn't me." She says, walking off.
"Y-yeah...okay...sorry." The guy musters out.
"It's fine." Lily says, grabbing a towel and throwing it over her waist, "If you do it again, I might not be so nice." She walks out of the Gym.
Everyone around the area stared in shock.
Brisk walked to the Time Nest, a bag of Senzu beans tied to his belt.
"Hopefully having these will be a huge help. Now I need to hurry to the Time Nest." Brisk said, running towards his destination.
Lily walked out of her home in her Gi that she normally wears, she walks towards the Time Nest and starts to think to herself.
I don't know how to feel about this, sure, I get to be a Time Patroller, but I wish I could've done this alone.
She walks up the staircase to the Time Nest, and sighs, "Here goes nothing."
Nione finished her meal faster than her dad could have asked, Can you even taste your food?
"That was so good! Thanks dad!" She says, a big smile of satisfaction on her face.
"No problem, now you better hurry before you're late!"
Nione nods, raises two fingers to her forehead and vanishes.
Lily had arrived to see a gigantic Namekian, and a race she wasn't familiar with, unlike the Namekian, this person was rather short, very short now that she thinks about it.
The three of them turn to see the Supreme Kai of Time walk out of the Time Nest, Lily mentally smirks, The Supreme Kai is nearly taller than that guy.
"Welcome!" I am the Supreme Kai of Time!" She looks at the three, and gives them a puzzled look, "Shouldn't there be four of you?"
As soon as she finished her sentence, Nione appeared right in front of the Supreme Kai, causing her to jump backwards.
"All right! I made it!"
She turns around to see the other three, staring at her.
"Oops, I am too late?"
"Actually…" The Supreme Kai says, still recovering from Nione's entrance, "You're right on time."
"Oh! Sweet!"
"More importantly, how do you know the Instant Transmission technique?" The Kai asks her.
"Um…" Nione, says, remembering that her mother had taught her how to use it, but she didn't really want to talk about her mother, "I've been to planet Yardrat before." She lied.
"Huh, okay then." The Supreme Kai said, not really believing Nione at all, but she had a feeling trying to get her to tell the truth wouldn't be the best idea, "Well, come with me, let's get you prepared for you first mission!" She walks into the Time Nest.
Brisk speaks up, "If we're going to be a team, we might as well introduce ourselves." Brisk bows slightly, and puts his right hand over his chest, "My name is Brisk, a pleasure to meet you all."
Axl speaks up as well, "I'm Axl, I look forward to working with you."
Nione raises her hand, "I'm Nione, nice to meet you guys!" She says cheerfully.
Lily walks forward to the Time Nest, not saying a word to anyone.
"Are you not gonna introduce yourself?" Nione asks.
Lily stops right before entering the Time Nest, the other three stare at her, why did she stop moving?
"Lily" Was all she said, before entering.
"It seems like she doesn't like us." Noine says, a bit puzzled by Lily.
"At least she gave her name." Brisk said.
"Well no point sitting out here." Axl says, entering the Nest.
Brisk sighs, before entering the Time Nest as well
"Hey! Wait Up!" Nione says, sprinting towards the Nest.
Nione enters the Nest to see the other three watching the Supreme Kai of Time having an Argument with someone else.
"Now just hold on a minute! They're not ready to go on Patrol yet! They need training!" the Supreme Kai yelled.
"They don't need training! They know how to handle themselves! If you hadn't gotten in the way I could've taken care of them myself." The older looking Kai said.
Nione joins with the others, "What's going on?" She asks.
"They seemed to be fighting about us." Axl replies.
The two Kai's argue until they realize they were being watched by the four.
"How long have you been there?" The Supreme Kai asks.
"Well, you were arguing about something…" Nione said.
The older one walked up to them, "Greetings! I'm the Elder Kai! Nice to meet the four of you!"
"It is an honor, Supreme Kai from long ago." Axl says, sitting on one knee.
Brisk bows, "The pleasure is mine, sir."
Nione smiles, "Heya gramps!"
Brisk gives her a miffed look, "That's not how you speak to a Supreme Kai."
The Elder Kai walks up to her.
"Don't call me that ever again!" Elder Kai screams in Nione's face, "I'll have you know I'm only a millenium older than the Supreme Kai of Time, I'm not an old man!"
The Supreme Kai grins, "You sure do look like one though."
Both her and Nione laugh, Brisk clears his throat in an attempt to mask the laughter that threatened to leave his mouth, Lily rolled her eyes.
"If we're just gonna joke around all day, I'll gladly go back to my training." Lily says angrily.
"Oh come on! We were just about to start!" Elder Kai screams.
Lily sighs, "This better not have been a waste of my time."
They all walk into the Time Vault, the building inside the Time Nest. Once they get inside, both Kai's are shocked to see one of the scrolls have a dark purple aura surrounding it.
"What? No, not yet, we still need time!" Says the Supreme Kai of Time.
Nione stares at the scroll, "What is it?"
The creator of the Time Vault looks at the four recruits, and holds out the Scroll.
"This…" She finally says, "...is the Scroll of Eternity."
The Elder Kai continues, "Actually, there are many of them, this one leads to when Goku and Piccolo fought against Raditz.
"Why is there and evil aura around it?" Brisk asks.
"Well...it might be easier if you take a look." The Kai of Time says opening the scroll.
The four walk up to it, and watch the familiar scene unfold…
Raditz and Goku clashed, however, from the start, Goku's punches were being blocked by Raditz easily, while Raditz was striking Goku too fast for him to see. Piccolo, away from all the fighting, was charging up an attack that he said could finish off the armored Saiyan. Goku quickly got overwhelmed, and Raditz started pummeling his with ease, he knocked him to the floor.
"Die!" Raditz screamed.
"Someone will die on this day."
Both Goku and Raditz turn to see Piccolo, his two finger tips sparking with power, causing Raditz to stare in shock.
"Power level...thirteen thirty...how did he gain so much power?!" He screams.
Piccolo pointed his attack at Raditz, "SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!"
Raditz stared in shock, but quickly smiled, as a dark aura formed around his body, and his eyes turning purple. He dodged the blast with ease, to Goku and Piccolo's shock, Raditz raised his hand to Piccolo and shot a blast at him, ending his life.
"P-piccolo!" Goku said, slowly getting up.
Raditz turns his attention to Goku, and smiles evilly, faster than Goku could ever process, Raditz punches Goku in the stomach so hard, he punches a hole right through him, killing him instantly.
Raditz laughs maniacally, his dark aura doubling in size.
The four recruits stare in shock.
"Goku and Piccolo...were killed?" Brisk asks.
"Yes, as you all might know, what should have happened was that Goku would have sacrificed himself to stop Raditz, but here that didn't happen."
"You want us to do this?" Axl asks.
"I would like for you to, but remember, don't do anything that would change the course of history, and be very careful."
Nione nods, "Alright, let's do this!" She shakes in excitement and nervousness.
She grabs the scroll, and the other four grab it as well, a bright light emits from the scroll, and they vanish, the scroll dropping on the floor.
"Do you think they can do this?" The Kai of Time asks.
"Let's watch and find out." Elder Kai answers, picking up the scroll and watching the to see what's about to happen.
