"All right Ron, are you ready?"

"Yes, Hermione."

Hermione and Ron were sitting in Hermione's car, with Ron in the drivers seat.

"If you want to be able to drive you'll need to pass a test." Hermione said.

"Can't I just confund him and skip it?"

"No!" She snapped. "Have you read the book I gave you?"

"Yes 'Mione" Ron responded

"Good, then let's get started. Have you checked your mirrors?"

"Yes, and I can see myself perfectly." Ron said, sounding proud of himself.

"No, Ron. They should be set to see behind you." Hermione spoke, with an exasperated tone.

"What, why?"

"Just adjust them!"

"Alright, alright!"

"Now put the keys in the ignition."

"Okay." Ron did so.

"Now put the car into reverse."

"Oh, I remember this! I just move the prindle to 'R'."

"The what?" Hermione looked dumbfounded.

"The prindle."

"Ronald, are you refering to the stick marked 'P' 'R' 'N' 'D' and 'L'?"

"Hermione I may not be as smart as you, but I know how to spell 'prindle'."

"Ron," Hermione said, struggling to keep her voice calm. "It is called the gear shift; and the letters stand for park, reverse, neutral, drive, and lout!" By the end of the sentence she was shouting.

"Hermione, calm down. Do you want to listen to the radio?"

"Sure Ron," She sneered. "Would you like am or foom!"

"Maybe we should take a break?"

"Don't you move Ronald Bilius Weasley!" Hermione screamed. She took a couple of deep breaths, then calmly said, "Just ease on the gas."

"Alright." Ron said, before hitting the pedal. The car sped forward, slamming into the house. Maybe confunding the examiner wasn't such a bad idea after all.
