Crawling under the chairs, we listened with baited breath
As the cloaked men demolished our house, ravenous for our death
A matter of time it was, before they found us
"Crucio" or "Imperio", that was all now left in our fate.

Their boots clanged loudly on the silent floors, their motives disastrous
We could hear their echoing footseps advancing towards us
"Reducto", a voice snarled out, and the door blasted open
The death eaters kept firing curses after curses, creating a ruckus.

We stuck to each other as they kept demolishing Sirius' room
Our wands at the ready,we gave in to our impending fate tha loomed
Firing curses back at them, tears of agony filled my eyes
As I saw them destroying Grimmauld Place,my only home after my parents' doom.

"Summon the Dark Lord", a voice cackled, her tone of rejoice
Halting in the spellfire,my head snapped up at the familiar voice
Rage like no other welled up inside me,Sirius' smiling face in my mind
The green jet of light was all it took, providing her with no choice.

The entire room quieted as Bellatrix fell down with a thud
Her lips curved in a maniacal smile, her dead eyes thirsty of blood
Curses at a halt, the dark marked stared shocked at their leader
When a familiar voice drawled out, "Lower your wands,I have the Mudblood".

My insides froze over hearing that voice gloat
Lucius Malfoy kept Hermione captive, a dagger at her throat
"NO",Ron screamed, pure terror on his face
As he saw her in agony, the girl on whom he dote.

Beads of blood appeared on her neck, her eyes terrified
Our wands clattered on the floor as we watched her, horrified
"Pick them up,Pettigrew",Lucius commanded, pulling up his sleeve
Eyeing me,he summoned the Dark Lord, his face glorified.

A heavy gust of wind blew, and my scar split up in pain
He looked at me with his crimson eyes, the look on his face insane
A frightening face that was, a cold sneer etched on it
I raised my wand at him, though it was all in vain.

"Expelliarmus",I shouted,as soon as he cast the killing curse
The green and red connected,'Priori Incantatum',leaving me in tears
The fourth year repeated itself, the long gone people urging me to fight
Fighting Voldemort,or seeing my loved ones temporarily alive, I didn't know which was worse.

"We will always love you Harry", my parents said, tears in their eyes
I glanced at Wormtail who had provided them with nothing but deceits and lies
The surge of energy increased,my loved ones supporting me by my side
I saw with shock and awe,the red overpowering the green, amidst their cries.

The red jet of light hit him square in the chest, his eyes wide and fearful
The connection broke and my loved ones gave me one last adoring look, their faces sorrowful
The Death eaters wached, horrified,as their Master was destroyed into pieces
The realisation struck me,'I had killed my parents' murderer',making me proud, yet I was tearful.

The aurors apparated, and the Death eaters were subjected to lifelong insanity
Teary hugs were being exchanged, at the downfall of their blatant inhumanity
Two pairs of armns had me enveloped, one of their faces streaked wih tears
I looked up at both my friends, who had stood by me in every calamity.

Our hands interlocked,we stared ahead as the aurors had the Death eaters their faces reveal
A future free of Voldemort awaited us,a future free of all our ordeal
A painful lump was forming at my hroa as I rememberd all my loved ones who were dead
And realise that our scars could easily be salved, but the war wounds were too deep to heal.
