A/N: Here is a little one-shot I was going to publish the other day, but between work, working on just about thirty other ideas, and just life in general, I've been pretty busy. Especially since I have a trip coming up in the next two weeks. But, I hope you all like this new chapter.

In darkness it waited. In silence it waited.
The spider lurked, ready to clutch and devour the young boy with blond hair and those ice-blue eyes that the old man hated so much.
But now the boy had spoken his wish and the spider could only obey from that moment on.
A wish. A command. Those were the things that made the spider what he would now be. The things that made the boy his new master.
"You must now give me a name and an occupation," the demon instructed the boy. "I doubt you will find pleasant company in speaking to a spider."
The boy snickered.
"Yes, I suppose you do make a good point," he said. "Alright then…you will be a butler. My butler. A Trancy butler. And your name…shall be Claude. You'll be totally loyal to me. And you'll do whatever I ask of you. That's my wish."
"Passion into calm," the boy turned to see the spider, now a tall, slender man clad entirely in black. The man also possessed pale skin with jet-black hair and golden eyes rimmed with black.
The boy's face set into a smile.
"Hesitation into resolve," the demon adjusted the glasses that now rested on the bridge of his nose. "Love into gravestones. Creatures into corpses."
"That's what makes a Trancy butler," the boy turned smirked at the spider before glancing over at the old man.
The old man's eyes were wide, staring at everything and seeing nothing, unaware that their owner had taken his last breath without even realizing it. The spider had drained his life before the man had even known what was happening.
"Day and night," the spider trained his golden eyes onto the now dead man. "Sugar and salt. Creature and corpse. That's what makes a Trancy butler…"
