Sybil and Branson didn't meet as Lady and servant. In fact they met as Lady and Lord.

The Crawleys struggle to save their name after failed investments by Lord Grantham. His two older daughters are already married and the only way to save the Abbey is marrying his younger daughter, Sybil, to a suitable husband.

At Sybil's first season in London, her mother, Lady Cora Crawley, catches a glimpse sucessive nights to a handsome young man who appears not very keen in the pomposity of these events (much like her daughter): Tom Branson, second and youngest son of an Irish self-made family. His politeness, kindness and intelligence seems the perfect match for the wild Sybil. Lord Robert Crawley isn't as convinced as her wife... the "nationality" of the groom-to-be and his "revolutionary" ways are horrid to such a conservative man as himself, but the need to save the state makes the decision. The Branson's desire to marry their young son and start a family gives the go ahead.

The news are ill-received by the soon-to-be-married (both too romantic to believe marriages of convenience) and in the few events they meet before the wedding, each one brings out the worst of themselves.

What they do not know is that they've been forced to marry their soulmates.

A/N:

Dear writers and readers, dearest Tom and Sybil fans,

I have a challenge for you.

Are you brave enough to write, what I believe it is, a quite innovative story about our loved pair?

If you are either an aspiring writer in or an amater one, maybe this idea is the little push to write a story with potential and with a turn that not many (or not one, I think I've read almost every S/T story) around here have done to this couple.

And you would ask… Why the hell don't you write it, silly arrogant? Well, my availability of free time at this moment is almost nule, and as much as I would like to write this story myself, I must be responsible. So, not to be tempted to do it, I hand it to you. The other important reason is that English is not my first language (I bet, at this point you have guessed), and as you know, writing a story is difficult as it is. If you added to that, not knowing to express correctly what you have in your head is quite heartbreaking when you think that what it's in your mind could really be liked, but what you write not so much. I've made my first steps here in , and all my stories haven't made it to the end. I 'almost hate' when stories I love arent't updated any more, and I can't do that once again.

So, here you got! My Tom/Sybil prompt.

If you are interested in write it because you think you are capable of a good writing, you have good ideas, and in resume, you think you are what this story needs... please, leave a review or a message (Not for my sake and ego, but if you really are interested, it wouldn't be nice if you found that there's someone else writing the story).
