This is my fourth story… I have been turning my interest to Mukuro nowadays… She is usually the one left behind. So here is her story.

I don't own anything…

………………………………………

The door opened to her room. She couldn't see him but she knew who he was. The demon sat himself on a comfortable chair.

"Hiei?"

"…"

"You came back?" Her eyeglass glimmered in the darkness.

"Hn. Of course…Where else would I go?" Hiei said in annoyance.

"Human world…"

"Now why would I want to do that?"

Mukuro withdrew from saying anything although she knew the answer. The room was in total blackness and silence. Neither one spoke. Both had nothing to say.

"Aren't you tired?" Mukuro broke the eerie silence.

"No."

She knew he was lying. "Is something troubling you?"

"No." Again he was lying.

She did not lose her patience with him.

Her generals and commanders have tried to advise her to not play nice with him. He was always rude and spat insults at her. This infuriated them but she didn't care.

She could not sense any movement. Had he fallen asleep?

"Hiei?"

"…"

"Why did you stay in Demon world?"

"…"

"Its obvious your desire isn't here…" This hurt her.

"…"

No answer. She gave up on him.

Truth was she loved Hiei. She loved him very much. But she knew that he had no interest in her.

He had his eye on someone else…

He and Kurama were good friends. She could see they were very close. But she knew Hiei very well. She knew him enough to know that he had feelings for the former thief. He did not talk about him but she knew from his eyes that he was thinking about him.

It hurt her to see him so lonely but what could she do? It had been two years since the demon tournament. Two years since he had seen Kurama. She wished to say something but the words would not come out. Instead she watched him silently.

Hiei and she were the same. No one has ever been kind to them. They just suffered pain throughout their childhood. They were two of the same. Both swore off emotions and love. She did until she met Hiei…

She laughed silently at her petty emotions.

Although she couldn't see him, just the feeling of knowing he was there calmed her. If she did what her conscience wanted her to do then she might lose him. She had to choose between making her happy or making him happy.

As the dawn broke she made her decision…

She got up and walked up to his sleeping figure. She then shook him firmly. This was enough to wake him up.

He opened one eye, looking at her angrily. "What is it now woman?"

"Go."

This surprised him. He opened his other eye and stood up slowly. "Where?"

"Human world…" She said softly, as if not wanting him to hear.

"Hn. Why?" He said annoyingly.

"To see him…"

She thought he understood because his eyes softened a little. He turned away.

Trying to control the urge to hug him she touched his shoulder gently. "You can't run from him forever…"

He looked back and smirked. "Is that an order?"

"Yes…"

"Then I guess I've got to do it…" He headed for the door.

She watched him walk that corridor. She watched his every step he took. Somehow she had a feeling he would not come back…

She waved at him. Not a hint of sadness on her face.

She knew she was doing the right thing…

……………………………………

There it was! Hope you liked it. Anyways I would love some ideas! Give me some comeback! And I don't mind critics, so go ahead…. Spit insults at me…. Yeah. (Weep)

Oh and please review! (Starts dancing.)
