Sorry I've been so inactive! I've been really busy!
And now~
Ash X Nya with Overcast Beauty!
The sky was overcast and the mountains were barely visible through the sheer cloud of fog hastily covering them.
Ash jumped out of his car, rushing over to the passenger side to help his pregnant wife. He held out his forearm, and she grabbed it, pulling herself up and out.
"Ash," Nya said, breath taken, "this is beautiful!"
He smiled at her and her swollen stomach.
The two headed out to a flat patch of grass located on top of a hill that gradually sloped for a few dozen feet, then the the slope was covered in tall grass, weeds and trees.
Ash led her to their destination. Before he let her sit down, he spread out a soft blanket on the patch of grass, then held his hand out to her and helped her sit down slowly.
He unfolded his legs and put his arms around Nya's waist, then then lifted her and set her in his lap. She giggled, then turned to face him, then kissed his lips.
He felt the pace of his heart quicken, then he moved his hands to her stomach to see if their child was kicking.
Nya gently moved her hands on top of his and rubbed them. Ash shifted his left hand so that he could hold Nya's hand in his.
The couple gazed at the distant at the distant mountains, each wondering what their child would be like.
After a few minutes of reflective silence, Ash pulled out his phone and texted Nya, then gestured for her to get out hers.
What names do you like?
Nya smiled, then said:
"I like Harper, for a boy or a girl. What about you?"
Ash smiled, then texted:
"I like Harper for a boy. For a girl, I tough Akemi was just beautiful."
Nya smiled. "I love Akemi! So it's settled: if it's a boy, his name will be Harper. If it's a girl, her name will be Akemi."
Ash nodded.
Nya dropped her phone and looked up at Ash, then wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled herself closer to him. His grey eyes sparkled in the faded sunlight peeking through the blanket of clouds. Ash couldn't help but gaze at her soft features, her silky black hair and her blue eyes.
And he knew, from then on, he'd be the most happy and lucky man in the world, to have Nya here in his arms, carrying his child.
He loved it.
He loved her.
