The Earth Dragon Slayer
Young emerald eyes gazed out onto the rocky terrain in front of her not afraid of the giant golden brown dragon behind her. "Mom you would tell me if anything was wrong, right?"
The dragon's giant head turned to look at the young girl "Why do you ask little one?" a very feminine voice sounded.
"I was just wondering." The girl's green eyes stared into the dragon's red eyes "So would you?" A soft growl came from deep in the dragon's throat "Yes I would, now go to sleep."
The young girl nodded and grabbed her quilt and curled up next to the dragon her "You'll never stop treating me like a child will you." Her light taunting voice drifted in the night.
The response was a deep rumbling growl for the she dragon "Go to sleep Rachel." With a muffled yawn Rachel snuggled into the dragon's side. The next day Rachel woke up to an empty field and her mother no ware in site.
