Strange Behavior
Summary: 2nd in a series of one-shots about how Ron and Hermione get together and Bill and Fleur's wedding. HBP spoilers!
Disclaimer: STILL don't own Harry Potter…wish I did though!
A/N: Here's the next one shot! Hope everyone enjoys it.
Ever since Ron, Hermione, and himself had returned to the Burrow, things had indeed been very odd. Harry had observed changes in his two best friends behaviors while they were in the others company.
For example, Harry would be sitting playing a game of chess with Ron (to whom he was losing very badly) while Hermione was reading in a corner of the room. To anyone who wasn't in Harry's position, things, he supposed, would have appeared rather normal. What Harry witnessed though was very abnormal behavior from the two people he knew so well.
It started like this. He would make his move and wait for Ron to make his. If Harry kept his eyes focused on the game board instead of on Ron, he would have only thought that his best friend was concentrating on what move to make next.
But the time in between his move and Ron's was far too long. Ron was adept at chess, which Harry very well knew, and there could only be one explanation for why Ron was taking so long and that was that he wasn't concentrating on chess at all.
As Harry soon found out from watching Ron, he was instead focused on the girl sitting in the corner. Hermione, as he saw, never once looked up at Ron. Perhaps she didn't notice him.
There were plenty of other times that Harry could think of when his friends hadn't been acting right. Something was stirring…yet he just could put his finger on what exactly. He had numerous ideas, but he would simply just have to ask Ron to know the truth.

Harry and Ron stumbled laughing into Ron's bedroom.
"Did you see the look on Ginny's face when she found out that Fleur had decided on the pink bridesmaids dresses?" Ron barely said because he was laughing so hard.
"What about when Ginny told Fleur she thought they should be brown? That was better!" Harry replied.
The two boys continued to talk about what had happened at dinner while they changed into their pajamas.
"Ron? Can I ask you something?" Harry said quietly.
"Yeah?"
"What's going on between you and Hermione? You guys have been acting very strange."
"Nothing," Ron replied shortly.
"Don't lie, Ron. Hermione's like my sister! If you do anything to hurt her…" Harry raised his voice.
"I wouldn't," Ron stopped him.
"Well, then tell me what's going on!" Harry felt like a toddler throwing a tantrum about a toy he didn't get. Perhaps he should even stamp his foot in indignation.
"I kissed her, okay?"
"What? When?"
"At Dumbledore's funeral," Ron spoke quietly.
Harry let out a gasp. "At the funeral!"
"I know, I shouldn't have. Not then, at least. I just couldn't help it, Harry!"
"Tell me what happened."
"Okay," Ron said hesitantly.
A/N: MUHAHA! How do you like THAT for an ending? Don't worry…Harry will hear all about it in the next one-shot!
