The Truth is, Link... {The Secret of Navi}
Link smiled as he started a fire. He piled more wood over it for the flame to rise. He dusted off his hands.
"That should keep wolves away," then he said in a dark and mysterious voice, "Bring on the fire. Bring on the hate. Raise, flames, rise. And show all the hate." Navi, was floating around the hero who was enjoying his dark, and mysterious voice.
"Link, stop trying to be funny. What about Zelda?" She said. Link frowned and sat down with his arms crossed.
"Geez, Navi, ever heard of having fun?"
"I guess that proves you're a khorkeri. All you ever want to do is have fun."
"Is that wrong?" The Hero smirk at her.
"Of course not!" The fairy replied, "I'm just saying that if you want to save Zelda, you should start getting serious. Ganondorf is getting more powerful everyday, and he'll kill you if you're not serious." Link smiled triumphantly.
"Don't worry, Navi! That sucker's too stupid to know how strong I am."
"Just don't go all overboard," navi said. She seemed a bit concerned. Link got up and walked over to his bay colored horse, Epona. She was busy eating the fresh, green grass and brought her head up when her master approached. Link smiled and gave her a pat and reached in the saddle bag and brought out a blanket. He sat back down by the fire and wrapped the blanket around him. He was ready for sleep, but still had something on his mind.
"Navi?" he asked the fairy, "There is something I've been wanting to ask you for a really long time now."
"Yes?" Navi said as she flew closer to link's hat. Inside was were she usually slept.
"Who are you, really? I know the Great Daku Tree told you to look after me, but what is your real purpose on following me?" The little Fairy was a little surprised by his question. Her blue glow that lit her body turned a little pink.
"W-why would you ask that?" she said a bit nervously. Link shrugged.
"I don't know. It just came to my mind recently. I feel like I've known you for a long time." Navi almost fell out of the air and she turned a bright red.
"Oh! Well, I-um..."
"Are you okay? Your face is red," Link asked. Navi forced a smile.
"Yes! But I think it may be time fore you to know the truth. I mean, you are old enough to know." she said. Link seemed confused.
"'Old enough to know' what?" he couldn't help but be curious. Navi took a deep breath.
"The truth is, Link...I'm your tooth fairy." Link stared at her.
"No wonder I could never see or find you. You're my tooth fairy!"
"There is something else, Link. I actually...like you. A little." It was Link's turn to blush now and he stammered.
"I-," he began but couldn't find the words. He through the blanket over him, "Go to sleep!" Navi glared at him.
"What?! You don't like short girls?" she said. Then she snuggled in links pointed, green hat. Yet the thought of Navi liking him scared him. She was always going to be his friend, but the Hyrulian elf was deeply concerned all through the rest of the week.
The End.
