"Mum, Dad, this is my beloved Kaminari."

"No! Oh my god you can't say that it's beyond embarrassing dude!"

Sero could only offer an apologetic smile and shrug as he watched the blush in Kaminari's cheeks rise behind the hands covering their face. Practicing introductions for the first time he would bring Kaminari home to meet the parents was not going well so far. But he was determined to get it right to ease both of their nerves at least a bit before the big day.

"My one and only."

"Too cheesy!"

"My boo."

"No."

"My cuddle buddy."

"Are you serious?"

Sero turned round and raised his eyebrows before leaning forwards into Kaminari's ear.

"My lover." He purred before he was batted away.

"Not now. I'm really nervous. Just… please we need to find one."

Kaminari was right. Significant other felt way too impersonal, detached from the true nature of their relationship, but finding a term that felt right was also difficult. After years of awkward mutual pining, they had moved so fast the whole labels thing had completely slipped their minds until Sero suggested introducing Kaminari to his family as something more than a friend.

"My other half."

"Sounds like we're married."

"My sweetheart."

"Eh."

"My soulmate."

Kaminari sputtered and choked as their face turned a fierce scarlet.

"You can't just say stuff like that out of the blue! You'll give me a heart attack man. Seriously..."

Sero just laughed as he brought his arms around Kaminari and drew them in closer, pressing a quick kiss on their cheek.

"How about my partner?" He spoke softly now, still holding Kaminari close and rubbing his back comfortingly.

"Partner…Yeah I like it."

Partners were equal. Partner could hold so many meanings. It described the relationship in both their work as heroes, their strong friendship and their romantic relationship. It showed they were equal on all grounds. Both wanted and needed for the other to be whole, to make up a team of them against the world. He was Kaminari's partner and Kaminari was his. The nerves seemed to melt away from both of them as Kaminari flashed Sero a cheerful grin.

"I'm your partner! Yeah, sounds cool right?"

"Definitely."

After spending way to long talking to the bathroom mirror that was acting as Sero's parents, they stumbled to their bedroom hand in hand before coming together in a tangle of limbs in the middle of their bed. The usual comforting feeling of a weak electrical pulse ran through Sero's veins as Kaminari snuggled closer to him.

"Hey, did you really believe what you said about us being soulmates?" They mumbled into his neck.

"Absolutely."

"...Me too."

A/N I have accidentally fallen in love with KamiSero. Anyways I'm kinda switching fandoms to be more BNHA so expect more of these especially involving Kaminari who is my fave and doesn't get enough attention in fics!

I was thinking about nb!kaminari and what to call them in a relationship so this idea just kinda happened. Please tell me if I've written anything wrong or insensitive I'm not an expert on these things and will fix any mistakes. Also I obviously don't think there's anything wrong will calling your partner a significant other but putting myself in their position I think I would prefer something slightly more personal that obviously Kaminari was comfortable with.
