'How could he do this to me?!' I bury my face into my pillow, clasping in my hand the thing that started it all. The Daily Prophet.

The title screamed in my head as I sobbed.

The wizarding paper fell from my hand, landing face up for all to see.

'Potter-Evan's Child Born!'

I remember better times, happy times….

Times that you loved me. Before the Evans bitch came along.

I remember the sound of your voice, your laugh, how warm your skin was, how soft you lips felt against mine.

I remember you.

As I kneel before the Dark Lord I think of you. At the unbearable pain of the Cruciatus. I think of you. The pain of you leaving me easily makes the pain of the curse meagre in comparison and my screams are for a whole different reason.

I remember when you started to become more distant. You still treated me the same but something in your eyes… I knew you didn't feel the same.

I told him where you and Evans were, he wants to kill the spawn you've made, the spawn that looks just like you… But he has her eyes… He should have had my eyes…

And I told him, because maybe, just maybe, it will make the pain go away.

As I look into the eyes of our once best friend I feel, numb, empty. He's yelling at me, blaming me for your death. And I can't take it anymore.

I cut off my finger and explode some muggles before apparating away.

You are dead.

But I will remember you.

And maybe one day soon I will join you,

I hope you forgive me.
