Harry Potter was hypnotized at the sight of what was coming towards his bedroom window. What could that strange blue figure in the sky be? He hoped it wouldn't be an angry owner of the 'House Elf' Dobby (whom he'd encountered earlier on in the day) who would have a horrid tyrant because of Dobby using his magic in the presence of a muggle, when technically, Harry was the only wizard around, so he must have been responsible. Then he remembered that nobody out of the Dursley's had seen who was doing the magic. Harry felt reassured.

The blue thing was getting closer and closer so Harry was taking more and more slow steps back from the window. The bright lights on it were blinding Harry's view so he had to squint a lot to get a good glimpse. When it changed from that awkward angle Harry realised that those blinding lights were headlights! It was a vehicle? But how? Harry had never witnessed anything like it (except for a broom, of course). Then, as it was slowly making it's way towards the road outside Harry's house in Privet Drive, it was now so close he could spot figures in it. Someone was driving it! And it wasn't long before Harry found out who it was. George Weasley had his hands on the wheel and with the window scrolled down on the side that was facing him, sat his best friend, Ron. Fred Weasley sat lazily in the back. They all grinned toothy smiles at Harry when he shot them both confused and amazed looks. 'Hi, Harry' Ron began.

Harry was outstanded. 'Ron, Fred, George –what're you all doing here?'

'Rescuing you! Now hurry up and get your trunk!' Ron panicked.

Obediently, Harry turned to his bed where his fully packed suitcase lay. Just as he was helping Ron get his suitcase in the car, he heard vigorous turns of his doorknob. Now as panicked as Ron, he looked back and heard Uncle Vernon's furious voice but couldn't make out what he was saying.

'He's trying to escape!' growled Uncle Vernon, as Aunt Petunia shrieked. Hurriedly, Ron handed Harry a long rope with a hook on the end of it. Harry attached it to his protection trap for his window that an angry Vernon had put on, for not wanting Harry to ever return to Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry. George reversed carefully and then drove at top speed. With a loud crash all Uncle Vernon's gear had fallen to the ground. When the car was back in it's original place Ron helped Harry to get in himself after tucking Hedwig in her cage in with Fred.

But Uncle Vernon had managed to successfully open the door and now charged towards Harry to grab his foot.

'Get off me!' Harry argued, when George began to drive off again. Uncle Vernon had to go through the same fall as the window gear. There was nothing he could do now when he got to his feet and saw the mysterious car soar away into the starry night.
