A/N The latest episode inspired me to do this. A bond between Shin-Ah and Yona. Friendship of two unlikely people.
It was nightfall and the group remained in the village. Everyone was sleeping. Everyone but two people. Yona stood up and ventured into the place where she first met Seryuu. Of course, she was careful that no one sees her. She walked to the secret door she discovered earlier and opened it, going inside herself. Once inside, she took the nearest torch and lit it.
"Are you there?" she yelled into the darkness "I want to talk to you!"
A couple of minutes later, he appeared before her the second time
"I want to thank you for saving me. Also, do you know why the villagers hide you?" Yona inquired
"They fear me..." Seryuu spoke slowly "They fear what I could do to them if my power comes out. My real name is Shin-Ah, by the way."
"That's right." a third voice spoke, breaking the silence "And we also don't like strangers."
Yona recognized the man as one of the villagers who first greeted them
"Why did you lie to me?" Yona questioned
"Isn't it obvious?" the man said, rolling his eyes. "It's for your own sake. If you look into his eyes, you'll end up paralyzed, just like the others."
"Well, let's put that to the test." Yona suggested
"Yeah, let's." he agreed, giving the signal.
Slowly, Shin-Ah took his mask off and stared into Yona's eyes. And Yona stared at him. After a while, he backed off, since nothing happened to her.
"You see?" Yona asked, turning to the man, who was trembling. The man muttered some words and retreated. Yona turned to Shin-Ah.
"I want to be your friend." she told him earnestly, smiling "You wanted to have friends from the beginning, I saw it when I looked into your eyes just now."
"H-hai..." Shin-Ah murmured, suprised a bit
"I may not look it, but I am pretty tough. Living in exile has made me tough. And I will find a way to get you out of this place." Yona promised
Shin-Ah said nothing, only retreating into the back of the cave. Foosteps were heard now and soon Ki-Ja came into the view
"I noticed you talked to him." Ki-ja stated
"Yes. I did." Yona affirmed "We're friends now."
