Where I Stand

What Jasper thought about himself after he met Alice and learned about the Cullens.

Where I stand...

I stand in the shadows

The shadows my sins have made upon me.

But this is where I belong,

Because I am the one who created these shadows,

These monsters.

And now they have turned on me and taken me,

Devoured me, without a second thought.

Just like I did to countless others before me.

But what am I to do?

I cannot escape the shadows, nor change the monster I have become.

No I cannot change,

But I can warn others of the danger that lies ahead.

If I can I will help create another path, a better path.

A path, which will hopefully lead to a better life, then mine did.

I will give others a chance.

I will make a difference that,

I can and will be proud of.
