Some people believe that if they were given a second chance at life they could definitely do something over. Something that they regretted, something that they wanted to make right. This may apply for me, and everything I did during this period of my life. I took one step after another up the winding staircase ahead of me and I realized as I looked up at this never ending staircase that each step represented something. "The next thousand steps…" I whispered thinking of Allen, and… "Valence." I said aloud. A thousand steps for every stupid thing I'd done in my life, and a thousand and one steps for everything that I'd done right in meeting him. He who showed me a better way to live life, and a way to falsely and unconditionally love someone with everything you had. "Please wait for me Valence." I begged as a single tear fell from my eye.
