THE ANTI-LAUNDRY STRATAGEM

WOW: hole, grey and leg. Dean's got an awesome idea to get out of the dreaded laundry chores.

Disclaimer: Nope, I don't own them

A/N: I've been away from home for the last couple of weekends and will be again this weekend. Therefore, I've used the last three words of the week and this is a 300-word drabble in an attempt to catch up!

Castiel glanced quizzically at Dean, stumbling into the bunker's kitchen with arms full of laundry.

"Dean, I thought you hated doing laundry? Weren't you going to tell Sam you didn't want to do it any longer?"

Dumping the pile of damp shirts down on the table, Dean began stuffing them into the spin-dryer.

"Well Cas, I know Sam well enough to know how to play him," Dean began with a smirk. "If I just say 'I hate laundry, ain't doing it', he'll throw one of his great big hissy fits." Wiping his wet hands on his jeans, he continued; "so I gotta engineer it so he makes the decision himself."

"I do not understand," Castiel replied hesitantly; "didn't Sam want you to do it? I believe his actual words were 'get off your idle ass and help with the damn laundry because I'm not doing it all myself'."

Urgently hushing the bemused angel, Dean grinned as Sam's footsteps approached; "watch and learn, Cas," he muttered; "watch and learn."

"Dean, what the hell?" Sam snorted; "what happened to my clothes? My best sweatpants have shrunk; they're halfway up my legs, and my favourite grey t-shirt has got a massive great hole in it!"

"A hole?" Dean repeated innocently; "have we got moths?"

"Moths?" Sam snapped; "I can put my freakin' fist through it – that's some moth!"

"Ah hell, sorry Sam," Dean sighed; "I guess I'm just crap at laundry."

Sam scowled.

"So, I guess you won't want me to do any more washing then?" Dean sighed contritely.

"Oh no," Sam snorted, pointing to a pile of rancid socks in the corner; "I know your game – you just need a whole lot more practice."

Castiel tapped his crestfallen friend on the back.

"What was it exactly I was supposed to learn?"
