The man of steel wasn't prepared to see the horror he wrought on the Planet Rimbor. When the small faction of the League arrived from Earth for judgment, there was an acrid black smoke billowing in undulating waves from all around the capital. Chaos reigned comfortably in this broken world and nothing could be done to stop it. Every Rimborian was a rebel of their own kind, breaking their moral codes, fighting for their lives on a daily basis.

As soon as Clark saw the abysmal land, he dedicated himself as a serf to the planet. He would restore order to this-the word he had unknowingly destroyed- and only then, allow himself to return to Earth. Clark took the blame for the "incident" onto his shoulders because he was the "indestructible" one of the group, and he should've stopped the Light's plans before they acted. Failure was never an option for the Superman, yet he had failed his team, the Earth, and the citizens of Rimbor all at once. Even steel is broken from time to time, and he hates that he can never be the only one to suffer from his times of weakness. So, he'll do his best to bring life back to this hollow land, if it takes his own life-so be it. At least he'll have fixed their problems. On Earth he won't be missed much; Superboy can finally take up their cursed mantle.
