Through the fire and the flame
Just to risk it all again
Up he stands, though all is lost

He makes his pact, through blood and pain
To fight, to kill, to seriously maim
He falls again, he rolls and dips
Up on his feet he jumps and flips
To dodge the attack, to return the hit

Her cries they echo with in the compound
Forever lost never again to be found
Life was never easy for her here
Always in fright, always in fear
She stutters quickly and tries to help
But all that happens is her tear ducts melt
They overflow and trail down her cheek
She moves her fingers to take a peek
The two men she loves fight with each other
One is her boyfriend the other her father
He fights for the chance to win her hand
To place upon her finger a wedding band
She runs, she trips, and she rises in pain
She falls; she flips to face him in the rain
She shouts, she yells, she grabs her lovers arm
She searches for a reason to try to be calm
He turns to her with questions in his eyes
The look on her face showed no lies
Together they stood to face their foe
Always, forever; whatever the woe…
