I stood still, as I watched the sun rise, its rays seeping through the leafy canopy of the amazon above me. I looked down at my sparkling skin, glittering like diamonds. I closed my eyes and took in the moment. After a few minutes I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist.
"Good morning, love".
I sighed and turned to face him. His beauty took my breath away, you'd think I'd be used to it by now. I still couldn't believe this wonder of a man was mine, even after spending everyday of the last thousand years with him.
"Good morning", I said as I leaned in to kiss his soft lips. I was about to deepen our gentle kiss, when I heard voices coming towards us. I broke away and turned to see my family, ready and waiting for us.
"Nearly done?" Emmet asked, a big grin on his face. "Go ahead, we'll catch up", I replied giving him a look. I could hear him and Rose giggling as they fled into the trees, with the others close behind them, all except Nessie. She was embracing Kachiri, Senna and Zafrina, promising to visit again soon.
"I'm going to miss this, travelling the world and spending time with all our friends". Edward pulled me closer to him. "Me too. But its time to go home, its been so long". I agreed with him, I missed home. We hadn't been able to return until now, as there had been a violent war, raging throughout North America, which was now known as Panem. The corrupt leader had recently been overthrown, and my family felt that now was a good time to return and build our new life there. We knew that Forks was now submerged underwater, so we had decided to travel westwards across Panem and find ourselves a new home.
"Are you ready?" Renesme asked, fluttering to my side. She had finished her goodbyes with the amazon coven. I turned to smile at them, as Edward thanked them for having us. "Yes" I replied, grabbing her hand and Edwards. "Its time to go home".
