"Knock knock." George announces as Angelina gently raps on Roxanne's open door.

A brilliant smile radiates Roxanne's face as she takes in her parents in the doorway.

"Hey poppet!" George greets his daughter.

"Can we come in sweetheart?" Angelina asks her daughter, at her nod both parents enter the room.

Ever since Roxanne Weaseley was born, she and her brother have been as thick as thieves. A fact both parents reveled in and encouraged; despite the age difference they tackled the world together. Growing up together gave them a certain confidence knowing the other wasn't far behind; emboldening them to take risks.

It was because of this everyone believed the confidant; pranking duo would be ok for the short separation they would encounter until Roxanne went off to Hogwarts. But as Fred thrived in the new environment and exposure, Roxanne began to wilt and become withdrawn in her old surroundings.

Roxanne was fine the first week after Fred left, because of course both siblings had experienced separate sleepovers before. The change in Roxanne occurred after Fred II sent his first letter, a full week after he had been at Hogwarts, detailing his experience and it was this moment both parents had pinpoint the change.

"What are you drawing today?" George scoops Roxie into his lap once she's done placing her book on the nightstand.

Roxanne rolls her shoulders into her father, relaxing into him. "Nana's garden."

"That should be lovely. Any gnomes in there?" Angelina settles herself at the foot of the bed facing her husband and child.

"I'm trying to draw one in." Roxie nods.

Roxanne's day to day activities was the same as before Fred left; the remaining Weaseley grandchildren still gathered at the Burrow but the older kids were sorely missed. Lily still had Albus and Hugo had Rose, Louis attended Muggle primary school and visited the Burrow afterwards.

"That sounds like a picture." George gently tickles his daughter to encourage a laugh. "Did you have a good day at Nana sweetheart?"

"Yes." Roxie answers breathlessly.

"Daddy and I was wondering if maybe you would like to try the school Louis goes to?" Roxanne stiffens up against her father.

"Only if the Burrow gets too boring poppet. It's your choice."

"Is anyone else joining Louis?" She asks in a soft voice.

The sibling connection is what Roxanne missed and it's what scared her parents; knowing her father, George's own struggle with depression and grief after his twin, Fred had died during the Second Battle.

"Well Albus and Rose are being asked the same question as you." Angelina gently informs her.

Roxie shrugs her little shoulders. "I'm not sure."

"That's okay Roxie. Do you think you want to visit the school first?"

"I'm not sure." Roxie reiterates her gaze falling to the bedspread. George and Angeline share a glance,

"That's okay sweetheart, would you like to help me with dinner?"

Roxanne raises her gaze to nod. "Okay."

"Alright!" George tightens his hold and springs up. "Let's go then!" Angelina smiles at the overcompensation to make their daughter giggle.

It's just a phase, she just needs some extra care and patience both parents unknowingly thinks.
