Cheyenne had been very depressed lately. All she would do is sit around and cry. Everyone was getting very worried. Soon enough the family called a meeting.

"We have to do something to cheer her up," Reba said very worried.

"Yes we have to do something but what can we do?"

"Brock, you went through depression yourself, remember?"

"Yeah thanks for reminding me"

"But what was it that cheered you up"

"Reba you know what did it"

"You might be onto something"

"Great… what am I onto?"

"Van what was it that Cheyenne said the other day about nothing being worth it anymore" "She said it's like waiting for gadoe. It never comes so it's not worth waiting for and we might as well give up"

Cheyenne had gotten in a boat-load of trouble when she was fifteen and as a result her sweet sixteen party had been canceled. Reba had an idea to get her daughter through this bout of depression.

"Listen everyone I have a plan. We're going to throw her a sweet-sixteen" "Um… Mrs. H, she's 17 and 6 months pregnant and her birthday isn't for 11 months, how are we going to do that?"

"Brock can I trust you?"

"Of course"

"You ain't gonna do something stupid"

"I swear" Reba nodded

"Okay lets see, Barbara Jean, you need to get on the horn and call the people on this list," Reba said giving her the guest list from Cheyenne's sweet sixteen party. "Brock you rent the ballroom in the Marriott Hotel like we were going to do it… rent it for tomorrow. I also need you to mind Jake and Kyra, I need you to take Cheyenne shopping. Okay we'll call the catering company to take care of the food and Kyra can your band play tomorrow"

"Well actually they can't but Jackie's cousin is in Boys 2 men and I'm sure they'd do us a favor"

Thankfully everything ran smoothly. Kyra took Cheyenne shopping and they got makeovers and spa treatments. Then a limo picked them up at the mall.

"Oh my GOD where are we going"

"You'll see"

When they got there the ballroom was full of music and spotlights. Everyone she loved was there and everyone who loved her. A sign read, "Happy Sweet Sixteen… a year late… Cheyenne"

"Everyone," she said before the party started, "I have an announcement to make. I was going to kill myself tonight because I thought there was no hope and nobody cared. But you showed me that there is hope and that no matter how long it takes things will get better... even if it comes a year later" Everyone laughed but Brock who had tears in his eyes. 3 years ago he knew exactly how Cheyenne had felt cause he is in that same boat. "I love you all" Van walked over to her as a slow song started playing, their song and whispered, "see some things are worth waiting for… and then he kissed her. She knew everything would be okay!
