Chapter 1
A/N: I only watched the first four episodes, so this is where it left off. The others aren't out on DVD yet, so I'm sorry if this seems off, I have this habit of writing right after watching something. This chapter is going to be short so you can all tell me what you think.
Kali walked around in the Special Zone, bored out of her mind. Not much happens anymore, but that might be because she's been alive for seventy-five years. Being a Kowloon Child didn't make things any easier either. She had to be invisible to everyone, even the vampires. She sighed again and continued walking when she saw a familiar face.
"Jiro!" she shouted. Jiro and the girl he was walking with looked over. Kali smiled and ran over to them, stopping in front of them. "How are you? I haven't seen you in ages." Jiro smiled and the girl looked at Jiro.
"Mimiko, this is Kali. She's an old friend of mine and Kotaro's," Jiro explained. Kali smiled and nodded excitedly. "Kali, this is Mimiko. She's a Compromiser for the company." Kali lost her smile and looked at Mimiko in fear. "Kali?"
"I'm sorry, I don't do well with the company," Kali said quickly before running off.
"Kali wait!" Jiro shouted. He ran after her and she stopped, looking back at him. "What's the matter Kali?"
"It's just something I can't talk to you about!" Kali yelled. Jiro looked at her curious as Kali sighed. She took Kotaro from him and cradled him in her arms. "I missed you guys, but me and the company do not mix well. Please understand, it's nothing about the human over there." Jiro nodded and put his hand on her shoulder. "Maybe when I know you can trust me, I'll tell you."
"Why can't you trust me now?" he asked.
"I can trust you, just not with this particular secret," she replied smiling sadly. She looked at the child in her arms and smiled. He was so innocent; it would be such a shame to put them in danger. "Where are you staying?"
"With Mimiko for the day," Jiro replied. Kali nodded and walked back toward Mimiko. "Where are you going with my brother?"
"What do you think? I'm walking you to where Mimiko lives," she said. Jiro raised his eyebrow, but didn't protest. Mimiko looked annoyed as they approached. "Sorry, my bad." Jiro rolled his eyes and began walking again with Mimiko as their guild. Kali was uneasy, but pushed the feeling down.
