Disclaimer: I do not own The Outsiders. (boring disclaimer, isn't it?)

This is the story of a young lad,

With a terrible mom and dad.

He would always get abused

His dad seemed amused.

He got beat up by a guy with rings.

He always would hide his wings.

On a horrible night,

His heart got filled with fright.

Socs were drowning his best friend.

He had to bring a life to an end.

For help, he went to his hero.

Society thought he was a zero.

They went to the country with a gun and a plan,

All they waited for was a gallant man.

They church caught on fire.

Saving the kids was dire.

A beam fell on his back

He couldn't get out, for energy he lacked.

His hero went in to save him.

The roof collapsed, there lives seemed dim.

For him there was a rumble,

The Socs seemed to fumble.

At the hospital, he said stay gold,

His future had been told.

He died right there,

A hero died because he cared.

Hey Cades, if you showed love,

He might be alive, the scared dove.
