Challenges
As the wind gently blows on the trees, a young boy about the age of eight walks across the street. The sun is shining happily and everything is peaceful. Birds are chirping and flowers are blooming. Children are happily playing in the sandbox. The whole place is filled with the sound of children's laughter. But the young boy, instead of playing with the children in the sandbox, climbed up a tree and read silently. A young girl about the same age as him noticed him and approached him.
"Hey, what are you doing there?, why aren't you playing in the sandbox like all the rest?" the girl asked.
The boy was surprised when the girl shouted and fell from the tree he was reading at. All his life, no other children tried to talk to him and he never tried to talk to any of them. He is an orphan. His mother died in giving birth to him and his father died in a car accident. Since then he lived in their large house with only their maids with him. His relatives never came to visit him.
The girl helped him get up and introduced herself " Hi!, My name is Sabrina, what's yours?" she asked
"E-Eric", he shyly answered. " Nice to meet you, Eric" Sabrina said
Since then, Eric and Sabrina became very close friends. Before she came into his life, he was a very lonesome child. But now, he has found a friend and is happier. He smiles more often and he doesn't stay alone always anymore.
After eight years, they are already in high school and are still very close friend. One day, while they are having a picnic in the park, Sabrina fainted while picking some flowers nearby. Eric immediately called for help and brought her to the hospital.
In the hospital, it was found out that Sabrina have some heart problems and she could die if she would not be treated immediately. Eric almost fainted when he heard the news. He couldn't believe that his one and only best friend could die anytime. So he searched for cures. And he found out that the only way for her to live is for her to have a transplant.
He spent most of his time looking for a donor for his best friend. He became so stressed and he never had any rest. He always stays with Sabrina in the hospital. One day he found a compatible donor. Because of this, Sabrina was healed although she hasn't fully recovered yet.
When she was allowed to leave the hospital, she became less cheerful and she rarely talks. Although she changed Eric still stayed with her hoping that someday, the Sabrina he knows would come back to him.
Sabrina couldn't believe that after all that happened, Eric still stayed beside her when she needs him and never left her side. She could not thank him for everything he has done for him.
Eric never left Sabrina because he loves her so much that he could not bear to leave her. One day while Eric cooks lunch with Sabrina watching from the table. She softly spoke "I love you", Eric heard this and immediately ran beside her. He could not believe his ears. With tears in his eyes he replied " I love you" and Sabrina also cried.
After eight more years, Sabrina's cheerfulness is already back. Eric is already the president of his father's company and Sabrina is a famous writer. Her books are all hits. Eric and Sabrina decided to get married and live in Eric's house and start a family. The following year, Sabrina gave birth to twins, a girl and a boy. And they live happily together in their home.
