B. Just a letter, that's all. That was the name they had allocated him. It stood for Backup, just like M stood for Mello, N stood for Near and L stood for what exactly?
It didn't matter.
Backup. He had never liked it. So he fashioned a new name for himself. Beyond Birthday. What did it mean? It didn't. Did it? Who knew? Or, more importantly, who cared? Who gave a fuck about the pale kid who always sat in the corner? No one. That's who. No-one cared, no-one knew. No-one knew his name.
