My first FFVII piece of fanfiction, or drabble to be exact. It's for the Cloud x Aerith forum's 100 Themes contest, based on the theme 'Fluff'.
Disclaimer: I don't own Cloud, Aeris or Final Fantasy VII.

Cloud is always seems like a fascinating and interesting person; from the moment he fell through her Church's roof, she was curious about him. There's the initial physical resemblance to her old boyfriend, then all the way to the most trivial of things.
However, there's one thing that she's wondering about; the rest of the group weren't sure about it when she asked. Even Tifa have no idea either.
So Aeris will be the first to find out...

The group was camping out, almost everyone was doing their chore or some form of work. Glancing around, Aeris spotted Cloud sitting in front of the tent he shared with Red XIII or Nanaki as they've found out some time ago, and Vincent, seemly in deep thought.
Walking over to her spiky blonde-haired 'bodyguard', the green-eyed flower girl smiled when he looked up as she sat down next to him.
"Hey, Cloud?" Aeris began, looking at him. "May I ask you something?"
Blinking, Cloud looked at her curiously before he replied: "Sure, what is it?" Whatever is the question, the swordsman wondered about it, since the flower girl doesn't seem distressed about it. It's more like wonder and curiosity, so he figured there's no harm in answering.
"Can I touch your hair?"
"What...?" Cloud looked surprised at the question, which made Aeris giggled at his expression. He looked priceless and rather cute, which is as nice as the times he smiled before.
The spiky head blinked again; the last time someone ever touch his hair is his late mother, who always love to play with his locks. After a moment of thought, Cloud saw no harm in it. "Sure."
Raising her hand up and letting it touch his blonde hair, Aeris smiled at the feeling, her eyes brighten up to match it. While her fingers stroke through his Chocobo-like fringes, she simply said:
"Wow, Cloud. Your hair's surprisingly soft and a little fluffy."
