(A/N) Out of the blue scene explaining Lucius's appearance and scent at the beginning of chapter 4 of Decorum and Tranquility. I wrote it awhile ago, but just decided to post it. Yay for random drabbles? And review. Pretty please with sugar on top?

"Lucius Malfoy." Bellatrix Lestrange draped herself over the opposite chair from Lucius, and blew a smoke ring in his face. "What are you doing here? Isn't my dear little sister treating you right?"

Lucius looked up only long enough to snarl softly, before returning to his drink. At the table in the farthest corner, barely visible through the smoky haze, a fight started. "Go away, Temptation," Lucius said finally, when Bella showed no desire to move. "I'm not in the desert tonight."

Bella moved then, but to drape herself on his shoulders rather than the chair. Lucius removed her arms with marked distaste. "What have you been drinking?"

"Firewhiskey," Bella murmured, resting her head on his shoulder. When he pushed her away, she looked at him for a moment before beginning to laugh, long and low. "You might as well. Narcissa will hate you anyway, the little bitch."

Lucius raised his eyebrows. He couldn't help it. "I just killed her cousin." Bella laughed again. "And now you'll tell her and she'll hate you for not stopping me."

"Why?" Lucius asked. He didn't like Regulus, spineless brat that he was, but Lucius also knew the Blacks. Killing family was simply out of the question.

"He said to. Regulus was a traitor. He wouldn't kill Sirius." Bella snorted, shrugging her shoulders and sinking onto a stool in one fluid movement. "As if he didn't know Sirius had been dead for years. And what's wrong with killing the dead, I ask you?"
