Disclaimer: I obviously don't own Naruto. However, for the sake of argument, I'm just going to say my usual disclaimer.
Authoress' Note: This story was originally published December 4th, 2008. As part of my current project, I'm updating many of my previous stories. Namely for grammar, but also to make them a little easier to read or updating plot holes that were previously unfilled. So please enjoy!
Chocolate Chip Muffins
Besides ramen, there was one other food that Naruto Uzumaki absolutely loved.
This was Sakura Haruno's delicious chocolate chip muffins.
It wasn't because she was the one that made them, or that he had a small bit of a sweet tooth that emerged from the taste center of ramen.
Naruto had just a tiny, itsy-bitsy addiction to chocolate chip muffins. Just a small one; nothing too big.
It wasn't too big to the point that as soon as he smelled the fresh, right-out-of-the-oven scent of the muffins coming his way he would instantly glomp Sakura and beg her for a muffin. And certainly it wasn't that big to make him come over at random times on the days they were off, asking her bake a batch just for him.
Oh, it wasn't that big. It was just a tiny addiction.
He wasn't in Sakura's kitchen asking for a batch; just there for a visit, that was all. He didn't have a craving for those delicious, tempting muffins. No, it was just a casual visit. Nothing more.
Now, she also wasn't in the kitchen pouring batter into muffin cups, nor setting the timer for when the muffins should be pulled out. She wasn't staring at a bright blue-eyed teen waiting by the over door and staring at the creation cooking in there. Nor was he holding the bowl that had the muffin mix in it and was tasting the remaining parts of the batter that was stuck to its sides. Oh, no this certainly wasn't happening at all!
"You know, Naruto...you really need to talk to someone about your muffin addiction."
"What addiction?"
