"Neji…"

An unsettling voice swept through him like a ghostly wind as his name was said. The boy turned back to see the closest person to him. The girl who used to wear bright pink and a high voice but was nothing close to being a girl.

"I'm going Neji…you're not upset?"

He closed his eyes, "What the hell kind of stupid question is that?"

The girl flinched.

"You don't have to be a jerk about it…" She covered her face with a white mask. She stared at the boy's long hair through the eyeholes.

The boy looked away and turned to the village before him. "Tch, this god damn village…"

"You should help the village Neji instead of sitting around. We're in times of trouble."

"I don't care…the only thing I really care about…"

He couldn't finish that sentence.

"Maybe if you knew what to care and love…then maybe I'd be sitting there with you and not fighting so much in the war."

The girl vanished into the air. Leaving away her scent.

"…She always did smell like strawberries…"

It's been 7 years, 7 long years in the village of Konoha.

The seasons came and went and 8 successful shinobi became great warriors. As for this team, it never changed.

"Neji, why are you smiling so much?"

"I'm just…thinking…how much this village has changed."

"It's not like you to admire our home so much."

"It's not like you to question me…"

Tenten blushed with anger. No matter how angry she got she thought that was sort of cute. Neji always did that to her, and she always did that to him. It was just like their relationship.

"Yosh! Neji! Tenten!"

"Oh crap I know that voice…"

Tenten laughed a little with her and Neji's sensei walking up to them…on his hands.

"My stundents! Join Lee and me on our marathon! It will add youthful years to your life."

Neji glared at him with his, "Do you mistake me for an idiot?" look.

Tenten smiled, "No thank you sensei it's our day off…"

"All right, Lee and me shall continue without you then!"

He dashed off on his hands rather quickly. Lee came up to Neji and Tenten also on his hands.

"Good morning Neji-kun! Tenten!"

"Keep moving Lee…" Neji said.

Lee smiled. He knew Neji wanted to be alone with her. He continued to walk with his sensei.

"Those two are always so weird…" Tenten smirked at Neji.

"Tenten…" Neji smiled.

Neji was always happy with Tenten now a day. He never really tried dating before but with Tenten… there was nothing really wrong. He was never shy or embarrassed to talk to her. He was…. in love.

"Come on Neji, let's go buy some ramen. I'm starving."

"Ramen? But Naruto might be there." After years he had never changed, he was still very annoying.

"He's not that bad…come on you'll pay."

Tenten dragged Neji roughly by his arm. "Did she get stronger?" Neji thought.

"Wait, Tenten… are you using a new soap or something? You smell like strawberries…"

"Huh? Oh, it must be from the farm I was working at… it was a D rank mission and I needed the money."
